This means that Dallas’s 2023 cap is effectively 230m$, meaning they got 6m$ carryover from 2022 as the cap is supposed to be 224m$. Cleveland had insane carryover, so they have 251m$ to work with

All caps are the same for every team, that is where they all stand now.

They could still sign Pollard and largely reduce the cap hit with a signing bonus.. I’m sure that’s the plan.

.. so hopefully this doesn’t backfire

Dang.

We won't have that much cap space to work with even with restructures to Dak, Martin, and most likely releases

Who knows what the real cap number is on those cap sites. It seems to always change.

Dallas adjusted cap is 230,338,863
Dallas top 51 contracts 249,113,393

$18,774,557 over the cap
Yep.

Restructuring Dak and Martin gets you under the cap by about $3-4 million, I believe. Then there are savings based on getting Elliott to take a major pay cut, etc.

So they'll have a little bit of money to play with but people should probably assume there will be no major moves, despite what the Cowboys are leaking to the press about something "big".

True but it's pretty darn close. It give you a pretty decent idea of where they stand.

Also, Yates sometimes gets his numbers right from the NFLPA and if that's the source here, it's likely pretty accurate.

Dak gives you 24
Martin 9
Tyron can get you 8 by just adding void years for SB purposes.
Lewis 5
Elliot pay cut from 10.9 to 2 mil base saves you 8.9

54.9mil you could realistically get. But will they?

Philly with 8 of 11 defensive starters without a contract and a Qb about to make 45+ million per year
I hear this every few years about Philthy ........ yet they have been to the Superbowl 3 times in the last two decades, 2 times in the last 6 years....... while Jerry inc has been making money off Superbowls from almost 30 years ago.
