What is your team? Some quick rules:
- Obviously, have to be player from cap era.
- You are tasked with building a team of only former Cowboys who had one of their best seasons when the contract was up.
- Didn't have to be resigned by the Cowboys, but someone took the plunge on a fat contract because of it.
- They could still have another good year somewhere, but the contract year had to be the last of the spectacular years.
If a GM were to figure out how to get an entire team of contract year players, it would be 17-0 and Super Bowl baby! As much as I enjoy watching the guy play, I fear Pickens is on that contract year death wish right now.
Players that come to mind for me:

- HB DeMarco Murray (incredible years as franchise back for Dallas, wanted too much for his first fat contract, signed a large contract with Philly and never heard from again)
- WR Dez Bryant (after his first fat contract, never had over 1k yards receiving again)
- WR Miles Austin (got his huge contact, and only one 1k yard ever again)
- OT Terence Steele (Schotty said RT is open for competition, but it should have been ever since his big contract, and yes, his is probably due to injury too but Cowboys signed him after the injury, where guys like Anthony Spencer they decided to go with one year deals)
- DE Demarcus Lawrence (Tank never had a 10+ sack year again, even with Micah on the other end)
- DE Anthony Spencer (yes, an injury caused it, but franchising him instead of signing him was a good move because never had another 10+ sack year again)
- DE Wanted to put Robert Quinn here too, but he did have another giant sack season on that last fat contract the Bears gave him that he earned by having a career year in Dallas on a 1-year contract)
