Cowboys allowed out in Oxnard for conditions with Rams moving in

The City of Oxnard unanimously passed the Los Angeles Rams' lease agreement to hold OTAs and minicamp at River Ridge Field starting in the spring.
This means that the Rams will get to practice on the training grounds roughly a month before the Dallas Cowboys come to town for their preseason camp at the end of July. With the Rams making the switch official late Tuesday night during a city council meeting, the City of Oxnard is allowing the Cowboys an out in their agreement, so to speak, if the field conditions are not up to par by the time they make it out to the west coast.

The Cowboys will be heading to Oxnard this summer for a portion of training camp after the Rams hold their offseason workout program, but the 'Boys have yet to tell officials when they'll arrive. The Cowboys have a deal to stay in Oxnard for part of training camp through 2017, but are expected to spend more time at the new world headquarters in Frisco set to open this summer.

I don't think anybody is complaining about a Road Trip, per say. I think people don't like how Oxnard is, more or less, placing more value on facilitating the Rams over their existing commitments to the Cowboys. I mean, it's understandable because the Rams represent more long term value for them but still, if you are a Cowboy Fan, you don't care about that.

I would also say that there is no one way to do things. I mean, the practice of moving camp obviously worked for Coach Landry. On the other hand, Jimmy threw it out the window and elected to do just the opposite. That worked for him. To this point, there is no proof that the idea of moving camp is better then not moving camp with the current Coaching Staff. They've won nothing and have been a .500 team for the last 4 years. It's generous even to say that the jury is still out on this issue.

I don't know Jerry's angle here but it will ultimately come down to ole mighty dollar with the Jones family. The Star in Frisco better be ready on time for the team to utilize those facilities. Soon it will be our best option.

2/3 of the owners had to vote for the Rams to move to LA. Fact is the NFL for whatever reason have been trying to put a team back in LA. There is no angle, Jerry was involved in Houston getting a team as well. Oxnard is no big deal Dallas has held camp in Austin, Wichita Falls and San Antione. Dallas will likely move their camp somewhere else as well as using the new facilities

There is no angle, Jerry was involved in Houston getting a team as well. Oxnard is no big deal Dallas has held camp in Austin, Wichita Falls and San Antione. The angle is it is good for the NFL to have the 2nd largest city in the US having an NFL team. What big bad Jerry and the other owners will make money? Guess what players will make more money as well as the NFL continues to profit.
