That’s not what I’m talking about. When someone blames virtually everything bad on one player; when they create multiple threads busting on the same player; when a majority of their comments include a dig on that same player—THAT’S what I’m talking about! Anyone that’s been here awhile KNOWS that Pappy can’t stand Dak, and never misses an opportunity to voice his displeasure. IMHO, Dak ranks somewhere between 8 and 12, but he’s not crap like some say. Constructive criticism is one thing. Negative, nonstop diatribes are another. When Dak has a bad game, he gloats, because in his mind it validates his rants. That’s his priority.

Stand in poop all day, but are OUTRAGED if someone mentions an odor! Overreact.com.

I think you are missing an important aspect of the Zone dynamic.

Pappy came on this forum hot with regards to Dak. No argument there. In the beginning he always provided something to validate his opinion. You can't deny though, that there is an element here that just doesn't want to hear anything critical of their QB. This element, as evidenced in this very thread, responds not with a counter opinion and support for that, but with comments directed at the poster instead of the post. They make it personal with labels such as "troll" and "hater". I was impressed with Pappy's inclination not to respond in kind, but to keep it about football. Eventually though, after enough personal attacks by the actual trolls the return fire began to creep in, and you can't blame him. When the same element makes it a point to gloat about stats etc they very often, true to their nature, make it personal by referencing one of the "haters" either directly or indirectly. That is elite level gloating, right there.

They themselves initiate this dynamic then have the audacity to suggest they are somehow on the high road. Talk about standing in the poop and complaining it stinks!

What makes in doubly-triply worse ...the very good - exceptionalTexas HS quarterbacks that eschewed going to Austin and signed elsewhere - instate & out-of-state - and become highly successful and acclaimed college legends.

You make some good points, but I’ve read enough of his posts to not be inclined to sing their praises as noble analysis. As to my own fan hood, I consider it fairly normal. I root for the whole team, and I’m just a lazy goofball that wants to enjoy the ride.

So I guess we can conclude the Cowboys have better QBs just from this drill alone.

Though these drills really mean nothing for evaluating QBs its still kind of fun to watch. Dak haters were hoping he wouldn't hit anything so they could complain.
