Obviously deals like this dont happen in the NFL, but I dont see how Jacksonville would do that deal.

They can salvage a high pick for the DE, and they have a QB on a rookie deal whose arrow is pointed upward.

In return they get a QB that wants to be paid more than he is worth.

Ah yes, the "let's significantly downgrade the QB position to pay $40+m to defensive ends" strategy.

Oh I see, put Minshew, a 1 year player, on a team instead of a quarterback with 4 years in the league, who's thrown to Cooper, Gallup, Jarwin, Zeke, Schultz, called signals that the o-line is used to hearing, etc.

Gee, after another couple of years he'll be as good as Dak!

Of course by then T. Smith will have retired, Zeke will be pretty beat up, Gallup will need a big contract, etc.

Look, it's do or die with Dak, this team can't wait another 2 years for a greenhorn quarterback to develop and get in sync with the rest of the offense.

I'm tired of waiting for the Cowboys to become a bona fide SB contender, it's been too long, this team is in a win now situation, it's not in a position to "start over" with a new quarterback, if you can help it.

Develop the young guys, ride the experienced vets and let's GIT 'ER DONE!
