Cowboys and Ravens discussed a trade for a WR

They wanted too much for Bateman. He isn't "there" yet, but is an improving player. Part of the problem for him is that his QB isn't a great passer. Cheap contract for two more years was also a positive. Pickens is a superior player.

I feel like we have Bateman in Tolbert. Bateman is better but not who I had in mind as to upgrade our receiving group.

Bateman was a pawn to get Pickens.
Jerry schooled them all. Even our naysayer fans.

Great job Jerry.

Pickens is a better fit and better player. We have a hands catcher and a deep threat. Huge catch radius which can be good news for the poor RedZone offense.

As far as I can tell, the Ravens didn't pick up his 5th year option. They gave him a two year 12M dollar contract instead. I wouldn't give more than a 5th rounder at best for him.

Man, I'm not gonna lie. Pickens is way dirtier than people realize. He's never played with a good QB. At some point, there'll be some fan debate about WR1 and 2 between Lamb and Pickens.

Lamb is probably a more complete receiver, but, man, Pickens can throttle the offense when we're ahead, or get us out of jams from behind with his big play ability.

He's been one of my favorite players, not because of statistics. But because his potential is enormous. He just has to rein in the outside noise and focus on being the best player he can be.
