When the Cowboys run the ball 25 or more times per game, they’re 14-0 since 2021… regardless of who’s playing QB.

I won’t skip the rest of the season or assume that we’ll make the playoffs but 4-1 is a great start & the schedule only gets easier (“on paper”) from here. If the defense can continue playing at an extremely high level and we pound the rock with arguably the best 1-2 punch in the league (I’m super high on Tony pollard), that’s a very good recipe for January.

The way they’re playing football right now is sustainable, throwing the ball 40-50 times a game is not sustainable - that’s a recipe for turnovers.. and an exhausted defense.

It's got nothing to do with how many times the Cowboys run the ball. It's got everything to do with how well the Oline blocks.

This stat is always a correlation =/ causation cautionary tale

Team have great records when they run a lot because running a lot usually means you have a multiple score lead in the second half and are trying to run clock and salt the game away. The rushing attempts are the RESULT of playing well and getting a lead, not the cause of it generally speaking.

If they run it 30 times, they're 32-0 since 2016...
It's stats like this that a team must find a d adhere too. Just like in the 90's, Dallas' win percentage sky rocket when Emmett had at least 20 carries. And every they won the Super Bowl Emmitt had at least 340 carries. Which is about 21 carries a game.

Stats like this tells you what your identity should be.

This is common sense to me but maybe it’s not.

Likely most teams win if they are running that much

The Cowboys are undefeated all time when they score more points than their opponents.

How many games can you remember that we had multiple score leads in back in 2016? Asking since Zeke had 322 carries that year.
