You don't get it. Your OP suggests that having Smith play MLB and LVE play WLB would be a terrible mistake, yet those are exactly the positions they played last year when they both had big years. You are arguing something in which your point had already been proven wrong before you made it.

And your argument made no sense because it was based on LVE having sideline to sideline range, when Jaylon Smith also has sideline to sideline range. That is a strong suit for both. Then you further indicated that at WLB LVE will only have hash to hash range, as if there is some restriction on him covering ground all the way to the sideline. Again, that makes no sense.

How do you even know LVE has sideline to sideline range? Is it because you saw it last year? When he was playing WLB? lol
