Cowboys are like the NY Knicks!

Now, hear me out guys, before you have a coronary!

I'm talking about the NY Knicks of the 90's.

They once asked Michael Jordan which team he loved beating
the most.
His answer?
"The Knicks. They act like they're the ones
who've won multiple championships"!

The media annointed the Knicks as favorites every year. Ewing gave his annual "We'll win it all this year" speech, & they had all the glamour with
Coach Pat Riley, NYC, etc.

This sound familiar to anyone?
I live in the Metro Tri-State area, & the similiarities are
all there.
The Cowboys need to focus less on press clippings, & more on
getting back to basics.

The next time I hear these guys talk about; "We have the most talent",
I'll fricken HURL!!

And, btw- that whole SELECTIVE mentioning of "5 Rings" is
tired, old, & pathetic. We've been living in the past for way too long,
& that leads to complacency. As fans, we have the responsibility to
also change our perspective.
Hold JJ responsible for these annual debacles, & lets quit drinking
the perennial- "We're still America's Team" koolaid!

The NY Knicks of the 90's were a tough, physical team that liked to hit you in the mouth. The Cowboys today are more of a finesse team.

i disagree........the knicks actually did well in the playoffs, making it to the finals twice, even though they lost both times. however, they won their fair share of playoff series. Plus, the knicks only had 1 legit superstar in Ewing.

I would say we have a lot in common with the Yankees over the last 5-6 seasons. Huge payroll, tons of superstars, yet completely unfulfilled expectations.

I am not buying the comparisons there, because in baseball there is no true cap. The Yankees continue to outspend everyone to acquire an all star team of players. Some teams have 20-30 million payrolls, many have payrolls over 90-100, and there there's the Yankees.

Here, every team has the same opportunity to spend money. They all have the same cap, one team cant simply go out and acquire every all-pro after all-pro. Most of our really good players were home grown here as well.

This past week, all Cowboys fans in this area have used
it as their one excuse, when talking to Eggles fans!

I'm saying it's too convienient & a cop-out.
