I find it laughable-look at the number of ARRESTS Philthy has(and for that matter, Lito is disgruntled over a contract that has FOUR years remaining on it).

Funny how the national media calls the Cowboys thugs, criminals, and whiners, but they don't say a PEEP about Philthy.

Per Pro Football Talk-# of arrests

I am so thankful the media stopped comparing the Spurs run to the Pats run....the Spurs win with class. NE wins with criminals.

For the stats junkies. I have been tracking player arrests for 2008 and my numbers are as follows...

Number of Arrests (by team)

4 Denver
4 New England
3 New York Giants
2 Chicago
2 Cleveland
2 Houston
2 Jacksonville
2 Seattle
2 San Fransisco
2 Tennessee
1 Arizona
1 Atlanta
1 Baltimore
1 Buffalo
1 Carolina
1 Cincinnati
1 Detroit
1 Indianapolis
1 Miami
1 Minnesota
1 Oakland
1 Philadelphia
1 Pittsburgh

Notes: Retired players don't count, members of staff don't count, multiple players can be arrested more than once. If a player is found innocent at a later time the arrest count still sticks on the tracker.

Number of Arrests (By Position)
7 RB
7 WR
6 CB
4 LB
3 DT
2 DB
2 DE
2 S
1 FB
1 LT
1 OL
1 TE

Notes: No, Adam Jones was not arrested in 2008. I tried matching to position as best...

Players with Multiple Arrests
2 Willie Andrews (NE)
2 Cedric Benson (CHI)
2 Kenny Wright (CLE)

Notes: The team which the player was active on while the arrest occurs is responsible for their arrest.

Number of Arrests (by Incident)
9 Drug Possession
9 Battery (Domestic/Aggravated/Felony/Simple)
8 DUI/DWI
3 Assault/Assault with a deadly weapon/Simple Assault
3 Driving with revoked license/Unregistered Vehicle/Reckless Driving
2 Opposing a police officer/Resisting Arrest
2 Disorderly Conduct
1 Boating while intoxicated
1 Illegal Possession of prescription painkillers
1 Probation Violation

Notes: Some arrests have multiple incidents, I might have missed some numbers tried to do this fast. You get the idea.

Number of Arrests (by month)
2 Jan
9 Feb
6 Mar
8 Apr
4 May
10 Jun

That's it.

I can agree with that, but at least the Spurs won without blatant cheating. I was getting tired of people calling them a dynasty, and then they got cheating red handed. Maybe the superbowls couldn't get stripped but they could have done alot more to punish Bellichick and the NFL could have taken at least 2 first rounders away.

Bowen evil? Horry cheap shot? well in this era of sissy NBA basketball perhaps.....but in the 80s they wouldn't even sniff the level of violence that was the Lakers, Celtics, Pistons. Bulls.......and definitely not the violence that was the 90s Knicks and Heat.

I like how you single out Duncan for whining, when ever single one of these millionaire prima donna's puts on an Oscar performance with their whine after every play.....if the call didn't go their way or if it went against them. Every NBA player has become nothing but an incessent whiner.

As for Manu flopping, he hardly flopped during this season....Oberto actually became our top flopper...but the league is filled with people that flop as much if not more....Fisher, Bell, Paul, Ben Wallace, Dirk, and the list goes on and on. Every game I watch, players are throwing themselves on the floor. But this has been going on at least since the early 80s. It isnt new at all. It is just popular the last few years to call it out as flopping. The Celtics coach Doc Rivers made a career out of flopping. So did Mo Cheeks, Dennis Rodman, Kurt Rambis, Stockton, Malone, Reggie Miller, etc.

The Spurs are pure class....you can try and argue all you want, but they built this thing the right way. They run it the right way. Their players win and lose with humility. They don't talk trash. They don't make excuses, except to blame themselves, while giving the opponent props. They stay out of trouble off the court and do many positive things within the San Antonio community.

So no more basketball in this thread.....this is a football thread. This version of Dallas reminds me of the Chan Gailey Cowboys......very talented, gets to the playoffs but so far no success, and staying out of trouble off the field.

Eh-even as a longtime Mavs(and Pistons) fan, never hated the Spurs. They're one team that will always command respect(at least from me). A very well coached, well prepared, and tough minded team that consistently gets the job done. 4 Championships in 10 years is no small feat.

*Claps*

FINALLY someone says it. FINALLY someone mentions the stupidity in calling any single superstar player a whiner. They're ALL WHINERS. Every one of them. Every single player, especially the superstars, can be seen whinning repeatedly in every single game.

I'm just glad someone else finally noticed how silly that argument is.
