The Cowboys are exactly 130-130 over their last 260 games (according to Trey Wingo on ESPN).

Not to be a negative Nancy here, but this really is the epitome of an average ball club over the last 16 seasons. Pretty remarkable considering the greatness this franchise enjoyed in the early-mid 90's. The one common denominator? Jerrah...

I still ride or die with the Boys, but this getting pretty rough.

you're not being negative, you're being realistic. If you could hook up all NFL GM's and head coaches to a lie detector....and simply asked: "are you glad that Dallas continues with Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett and Tony Romo as the big 3 in big D?" Anyone that answered "no, we fear those guys"....that lie detector would be buzzing non stop signifying a large lie was just told.

am i wrong in thinking, this is what parity brings. Just read me out before you dismiss it, but the 7-9 GIants win the SB, cant it be seen that a sub 500 team SHOULD Not be winning the SB, but they did it. Last Years Ravens, seems good a real good team, but yet, the loser of the game, the 49ers at times looked better throughout the course of the season. So its just a thought of mine that when you bring parity and you want to give everyone a chance to win, this is what you should be expecting and 8-8 is the new norm where it used to be 10 wins. Am i wrong here?

You have the wrong mindset. Nothing is wrong with being average. The NFL is full of parity. Cowboys are simply a product of that. Surely you had to expect the Cowboys were going to lose a game this season, haha! The Cowboys do not get out coached. Just chalk it up to Rivers being the All Pro that he is or the blue jersey jinx. Cowboys will get em next time! Now hold my hand and let us sing kumbaya together!

I dont believe the Giants were 7-9 but it is a parity league, but you would think at least one time during the past 17 years the Cowboys would have made at least one run. Maybe 2007 was that opportunity and we blew it.

why are we the only team whose record for 260 games is looked at though?

Cause we're the Cowboys. We're held to a different standard than most franchises. And that should be a good thing, but for the last 17 years it's been a negative thing as we've become almost a laughing stock by most fan bases.

Be happy we aren't Jags, Buccs, Rams, Raiders, Panthers, Vikings, Jets, Browns, Bills or Titans fans right now. I'd rather be .500 than .200... maybe.

Half of those teams might finish with a better record than us. I'd honestly rather be bad than average.

500 football in the current league isn't pathetic. I'd agree with 'not good enough' if that's the case you want to make.

It might be okay for 31 other teams, but we are held to a different standard, and rightfully so.

Edit: For us, it's downright pathetic.

The Cowboys are 75-57 in their last 132 games played. I bet you wont hear that from Mr. Ding Head.

You are not being a negative nancy by just stating the truth...........................some posters (who I will not mention by name) seem to not like the truth too much and get their panties in a bunch with any negative stats about the Boyz.

They cant handle the truth.............................LOL

The Titans are 3-1 and just beat the team we lost to on Sunday.

How exactly are we better than them?

At least we're not the Bengals.

One of the most pathetic mantras I've ever heard.

We're actually worse than the Bengals.
