You can make all the comparisons you want to other players and it doesn’t change a thing. Other teams are paying players and every year new “highest paid x, y, z” titles are thrown around.

The prices go up. Always have and always will.

The Cowboys have 3 historical contracts on the payroll right now. They paid their guys just like some of you wanted. So Diggs and Dak sucks and aren't worth their contracts. You'd be acting just like this about them if Jerry let them go when he could've.

The cowboys are first in EPA with Micah on the field since he went to Dallas. And 31st in EPA per play when Micah was off the field since he joined the team. It’s not just last season.

Yes, they've had some pretty bad defenses, and he's made them somewhat relevant when not facing upper tier teams. I addressed 2024, as that was the noted season, and their depth was demolished.
Advanced metrics aside...in looking at the top edge salaries, I don't think he's worth that much more than Garrett, Crosby, Bosa, etc.

agree. I loved Dak for his first 4 years. I thought that he had the focus to will himself to improve, but he is more focused on his brand than winning. We would have been competitive with Rush and could have played the open market to look for another QB

I for one am ecstatic. I said last year when the cee dee deal was being argued about that we hadnt seen nothing that. Michael proved to be a LIAR. I want to be a Cowboy for life, Jerry is my dog, I will take less, may back hurts..... screw that guy. I am glad he is gone and we can now sign a lineman, bland, pickens after he goes off....... Michael is just about to enter his prime cancer years after getting this contract.

If you look at this deal on paper, it was a bad deal for the Cowboys. Let’s look historically it first round picks. Most first round picks in the NFL are starters. Only about 25% turn into probowl level players. And about 15% are complete flops and never should’ve been picked in any round much less the first round. Desire for the game whatever it might be they just don’t have it. So you’ve got a 25% chance that one of those first two round picks will turn into a pro bowl player for the Cowboys. Parsons was already a proven player, and if he stays healthy, we will probably go down as one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. He is beyond pro bowl level. He was on a level of his own. If he stays healthy. He is a game changer. He can single-handedly win games for your team. If he starts all 17 games, he’s probably responsible for the equivalent of three wins per year just by himself. Cowboys gave up a game changing player for a couple of potential mysteries. Not a good trade. Funny thing is we had all the leverage. He was locked in for the season. Let him sit. Let him not honor his contract. Then franchise tag of next year. Do you really think a player in his prime like Parsons is going to sit out potentially up to two maybe even three seasons? No he’s going to sign and be on the field. We got ripped off. This is not the Herschel Walker trade revisited. This is a bad deal.

You never have coached or been around a locker room! When a player doesn’t get what he wants he would not play ,playing hurt etc ! Hurts your team trying to get ready for a season,having that to deal with ! Clean slate know got a good player that can help in the run which we haven’t had in years ! Can sign players know with more cap space ! So it’s not that bad of a trade !
