Parsons, Dak, and Lamb all could have been signed for SIGNIFICANTLY less than what they ended up signing for if Jerry signed them when they were eligible for extensions. Do realize that it takes three to tango in this case and they weren't gonna sign for less everyone always says that but if you look at how much money they were pushing for now don't you think they were gonna push for more than they knew what the market was coming up you don't think his agent knew about Miles Garrett TJ Watt Hendrickson all these defensive ends were having contracts come up they weren't gonna allow themselves to be taken to the cleaners right now the way they handle this they weren't gonna take that Jerry offered him 40 million per year It was like five years 200 million they could have negotiated from there but they raised the price I believe they asked for $50 million and that's why he got traded I think Jerry realized when they said we're not taking less than 50 million and the way he acted over the weekend laying on a table pouting the stuff that was going on it just was too much.

These tactics over the last couple of weeks and yes I blame Jerry for a lot of it as well but you can see the writing on the wall they would have done this last year..

Always say they could have got less if they'd assign them early but you realize these agents are smart right they would only took a three year deal then it would have been three years 120,000,000 probably last year because they weren't going to allow themselves to not get back in the new market they knew all these new deals were coming It's the same way with Lamb's agent he wasn't going to sign when he knew all these players that were in his tear we're coming up for contracts..

Find an example The Cincinnati Bengals tried really hard to get Chase to sign for Less last year he wouldn't do it except for one thing his agent and himself weren't going to do this nonsense He broke his Holdin or his holdout and he came started practicing and he was there week one under his old contract and you know what he broke the bank this year..

I get what you're saying but it's not always true most of the time it's not true players and agents are smart enough to know what the market is coming down the road And like I said that example is exactly what could have happened with Parsons it happened with Lamb and Chase was the last chip to fall because he did that on purpose he refused to sign what they were offering him last year...
 
Credit the Packers for being aggressive, I guess, but I don’t get it. All the problems we point to on the Cowboys offense are magnified by the Packers offense. Jordan Love has never proved to be as good as Dak, and his receivers are worse. Now they have a cap crunch and limited ways to acquire more talent.
 
Good luck this year Dak! That's what happens when a bang average player is paid elite money...it results in losing an elite player.

I swear im convinced we have some of the dumbest fans in all of professional sports. To see someone saying, trading a generational top 3 defensive talent who is only the second player in NFL sack era history to have recorded 12+ sacks for four years straight..... to say trading that player is EXTREMELY stupid and dumb.

It frees up a ton of cap space over the next 3 years and strengthens your weakest defensive position.

Dallas going 9-8 with Micah versus 7-10 without him is a step in the right direction.
Dallas paying Micah 47M per year would have been insane.

He’s a hell of a pass rusher but at end of day is just a hybrid player who gets worn down as the season progresses.
