With the second preseason game completed, each player's performance has been examined. It's time to take a look at how the players performed.

Quarterbacks
Grade Player Po. Snaps Notes
B+ Tony Romo QB 3 100% accuracy rating
B Brandon Weeden QB 11 75% accuracy rating
D Jameill Showers QB 26 57.1% accuracy rating, 1 TD, 2 INT
F Dustin Vaughan QB 31 46.7% accuracy rating, 2 INT

Tony Romo played one series and came out unscathed so he comes out the big winner. There were no stellar performances by anyone, but Dustin Vaughn struggled the most.

Running Backs
Grade Player Po. Snaps Notes
B+ Joseph Randle RB 20 7 carries, 4.29 ypc, caused 4 missed tackles
B Gus Johnson RB 9 3 carries, 4.0 ypc, caused 1 missed tackle
C+ Lance Dunbar RB 5 2 catches for 2 yards
C Tyler Clutts FB 8 had -1.0 PFF grade
C- Darren McFadden RB 4 3 carries, 1.33 ypc, no missed tackles

Again, no real standout performances. Joseph Randle played well in his first preseason action. Darren McFadden didn't get much of a chance, but did very little with the chances he did get.

I think the writer is a High School kid.

I would like to see Gibson do well, but he didn't see stunts and blitzes like Collins and Weems did and Gibson was facing 3rd string defenders.

He has Danny McCray as the best Safety. I know that McCray screwed up at least 1 big run play.

BTB is getting drunk on Gibson Koolaid just like they do with all late picks and UDFA's. Reminds me of Chris diner scene from Tommy Boy. "Jo Jo, the Indian Circus Boy, with his shiny new pet"

Gibson has the ability to possibly even be a good starter at RT sometime before his rookie contract is up, and his play has been encouraging. But at this point we have a better chance of getting him on the PS then we do getting a quality start out of him. Next to year should be a completely different story, but he isnt ready for real NFL snaps

I would bet that they hyped him up before training camp ever started.

Reporters and bloggers tend to make predictions and then see everything that confirms their predictions and don't see anything that doesn't (i. e. Confirmation Bias).

Good grief! Somebody actually watched this game in slow motion, and took notes??

Makes a hemroidal ectomy seem subtle!
