Through 1 qrt of the season Cowboys have shown very good balance in their offense with 140 rushing attempts and 131 passing attempts. I do think this is the main key for this teams success. This is allowing the Cowboys to dictate to other teams and control the clock. Currently Cowboys have a over 10 min advantage in TOP. This goes a long way in keeping this defense fresh

No doubt balance is the key. Especially when both the running and passing game are working so effectively.

Don't care much about the ToP data, but love that we're staying in manageable situations for converting.

I'd like to see up keep up the up-tempo stuff while Dak's in there if we can continue to be successful with it, too.

I think 10 less min per game that the Cowboys defense is on the field is big for them. By the same token last year with Philly, chip Kelly did not care about TOP he also had a defense that was left on the field for so long that in the 2nd half of games they were sucking wind big time. I agree that TOP is not a be all stat but I think it is important in terms of keeping your defense fresh through out the game.

I have to say if the down and distance is 3rd and 7 or less --- i always feel like they will convert strangely ! Honestly it is a wonderful feeling hahahahaha :)

As long as your scoring at the end of those long drives, time of possession is a great statistic. I think it's preferable to take 10 plays to score a touchdown than to take one play.

It's more fun to watch. Give me 12 possessions/game, with the same likelihood of scoring in each, over 8, or 10, if I can have them. The defense can be tired if the offense remains effective. Not that I don't like watching the slow, punishing, inevitable drives, too.
