Back at the beginning of last season when everyone was healthy and Detroit was beating us 47-9 on our home field, I remember thinking "if we only had Cooper Kupp........"
With CeeDee as your #1 Cooper Kupp is a better #2 than anybody else we're going to get. And the odds are nobody we draft is going to be as good as Cooper Kupp is currently (unless we use our first on one.) Personally I'd consider getting Kupp and using a second on a WR.I will be shocked if it happens. And I don’t think Cooper Kupp is what this team needs at WR. I respect the guy a lot but a declining skills receiver without speed is not what this team needs IMO.
I mean lack of talent at the receiver position was a clear problem for us guys couldn't get open and it stalled the offense. It is certainly not our only problem but you can't bet it is part of the root of the problem.Back at the beginning of last season when everyone was healthy and Detroit was beating us 47-9 on our home field, I remember thinking "if we only had Cooper Kupp........"
man i wish we would draft Jaxon Dart. but he's going in the 1st round. and we are not drafting a QB in the 1st round. that Memphis kid looks good tho. you might be able to snag him in 3rd.Next year's offense will have Jaxson handing off to Ashton Jeanty and throwing Darts to Lamb and Kupp.
True. He's a declining WR with a big name that was earned in the past. We might be wise to opt for a promising WR in the draft. That cost would be far less than what Cooper Kupp's would surely be. In addition, the length of a promising young rookie's career would be far greater in longevity. We don't even know what his price would be.
I'm not sure what we have in Mingo. 400 yards in 15 games with the Panthers isn't flattering but they've had Qb issues there so gotta give him the benefit of the doubtRight I’m confident I can get all those positions in later rounds. I don’t know if I can get a legit number 2 in later rounds. I feel like we have those guys already in Tolbert and Mingo. If McMillian is there at 12….he is who I take.
No I agree I’m not hyping up Mingo I’m just saying I think in later rounds you got a better chance of getting the next Mingo then you do the next number 2 on the team. I really soured on Mingo or these later round receivers because it’s like either we aren’t developing them or they just are jags.I'm not sure what we have in Mingo. 400 yards in 15 games with the Panthers isn't flattering but they've had Qb issues there so gotta give him the benefit of the doubt
If we have to give him a new deal and we're going by the Osa scale, Kupp would be worth roughly 85-90 million a year.Gotta believe the Dak restructure reopens the Kupp talk. Wouldnt be hard to fit him in financially right now.
