These defensive additions to go along with 2005 additions DeMarcus Ware, Marcus Spears and Chris Canty give Dallas the best front seven in the NFC East.

I read this out of an ESPN article.....I would have to say the GIANTS have the best proven front seven ......

Zoners, I like the fact the writer is bragging on our Cowboys, however, do you guys feel we are the BEST?

Depends on how well our new guys at LB do. That is the meat of the 3-4; the meat of the 4-3 is the D line- the Giants are pretty good there.

the giants front 7 is not that great, lavar arrington is a great player but other than that i dont think they have anything special at LB. Their D-line is good and hard to compare to the 3 man front of dallas, but the cowboys front 3 are more effective in the 3-4 lineman than the giants are in the 4-3. So id say that i have to give the edge to the boys

I think Antonio Pierce is their best linebacker, not Arrington.

I would certainly say the Gaints have the best Front Four. But Dallas probably has the best Front Seven. And I would speculate that this estimate is based in part on the team's youth and potential.

Best? How can we be the best with 3 relatively unproven 2nd year guys starting (Ware, Spears, and Canty), a rookie OLB (Carpenter), one MLB who has a single good season under his belt (James), and another MLB who has never played MLB (Ayodele)?

Potential. Yes. Best? Only if a ton of stuff goes right.

Depends.

If Carpenter and Ayodele play pretty well and Ware, Canty, and Spears continue to progress they should be a very good front seven.

It's possible that could happen, but there are no guarantees in the NFL.

I do think we have more depth up front and on defense in general than the Skins and Giants and probably the Eagles as well.

giants have 2 guys (of 7) and one is getting old. best "front 4" but that says nothing (we don't have a front 4). LOL. their LB are very weak.

cowboys have the best front 7 without a doubt.
