Ken Norton's goal line tackle early in the game is one my favorite plays in Cowboys history.

You could see the Bills were defeated in the 2nd Qtr, I completely forgot that Jim Kelly got hurt and didn't play again in that game.
IMO, that Buffalo team was pretty darned good....however, Thurman Thomas always laid eggs in prime time...was a shame because he was a really great player...he kept Barry Sanders on the bench at Ok St.
Funny how the Bills DL, which was so great with Bruce Smith, Bennett, Talley, etc...nary laid a finger on Aikman. Haven't heard Bruce Smith's name called yet.
Heard the commentators say that Haley never lifted weights...? I guess Demarcus Ware is what Haley would've looked like had he lifted. Haley was amazing and virtually unblockable with a lightning quick first step....but I think Ware is actually better all around player and one of the best D players in the league.
Emmitt's pass blocking....hugely underrated.
The Bills made Jay Novacek look uncoverable...lol

That defense was so good at getting turnovers in this game. Buffalo didn't just give it away to them. The Dallas defense took them.

This game was so sweet for me as a Philly guy. Took a lot of **** from eagle fans for the previous 5-6 years.

As happy as I was from a fans perspective, it was so much sweeter thinking of all the eagle fan haters I knew who were watching.

Unless you live here, you really can't understand the level or intensity of hate for the Cowboys.

In addition to the irrational hate the average eagle fan had for the Cowboys, they had also developed a certain amount of unjustified superiority.

Watching the Cowboys make it back to the top was as painful a sporting experience as any eagle fan could deal with.

I live here now, and I know EXACTLY how you feel. The Eagles fans will attempt to find anything that will give them a "one up" over the Cowboys fans.

The Eagles fans claim to be "passionate about their team," but in reality, they are passionately stupid. I lost all respect for their fans after they cheered during Irvin's career-ending injury, and some Eagles fans still brag about it.

A Cowboys' Super Bowl title this year would TRUMP all the Eagles' NFC Championship appearances, as well as Super Bowl appearance, this decade. A Cowboys' Super Bowl title would be their biggest nightmare.

It should have been 59-6...Reich was over the line on his TD pass (by alot) and their first td came after a bogus defensive penalty on 3rd down (I believe a hold on Robert Jones IIRC)

I forgot Aikman and Emmitt were taken out in the 4th. It's strange to re-watch. I was on pins and needles until the Harper TD.

Is Aikman in his prime not one of the top 3 QB's of all time? I think so. A thing of beauty to watch his accuracy and timing.

Alot of people in this forum never saw him much in his prime. They look at his "stats" and make assumptions. Or maybe they saw him at the end and think that was reflective of his whole career.

But he was definitely one of the top pure passers I've ever seen. His combination of accuracy and arm strength were just sick. Perfect mechanics and a work ethic that was 2nd to none.

I'm pretty sure the defensive holding call went against Larry Brown... and it was a ticky-tack call.

Didn't matter though. The Bills didn't have enough fingers to stick in all the leaks in the dike. The Cowboys rolled.

Haley was always a step away from decapitating the QB. He provided immense pressure and Tolbert wasn't bad either. The whole defense had everything falling their way. Speed, speed, and more speed.

Aikman was on that day, and I mean ON. He was always good, of course... but that day, he looked astonishing.

Irvin caught everything Aikman threw, too. He was unstoppable as the momentum shifted away from Buffalo and their blocked punt.

It was amazing how for the first few min. it looked like Buffalo had the upper hand... and then things settled down and the Cowboys talent took over.

You and me both. That ball had crossed the plane of the goal line when it was knocked out and it would have counted as a TD had that been a 49er or Pittsburg player...

98 and 44. I can't remember who the players honored were though. They might not have been Cowboys players. It has been so long ago.
