Signed by Cowboys Cowboys bringing back NT Carl Davis

Just filling in a roster spot. They do have about 31 more players to sign. This gives them 59 players on the current roster. 12 which are reserves / futures contracts. Which means as the sign FA's and the draft, some of those will be replaced.

Figure that we have 7 draft picks and they typically bring in 10 to 12 UDFA. And we have 16 FA's, and they most likely sign 6 to 8 of them back.
That leaves about 5 spots or so for FA's. Well 5 to 12 as some of those reserves / futures players may be replaced.

OK, back to the melt downs.
sometimes these meltdowns are needed because we keep players we shouldn't just to say depth so we don't have to fill a need

Meltdowns have nothing to do with what the team does.
And teams always sign players like this as every player can't be an all-pro. But no, some fans hate everything.
But hey, if it makes one feel better. But why take it out on other fans.

I guess it can be entertainment though.

This is the type of move I've been hoping for.

Real improvement at a high level......the roster is great as is so these little tweaks will be all we need to overtake the Niners.

This is the kind of FA Jerry/Stephen like to bring in....the kind that doesn't even make it out of camp or PS. Just a body to rest their likely starter. Camp fodder. Probably gets paid by the hour.

He was awful when he played last year so this tracks.
Yeah he wasn’t great. Cannot complain much as we have to fill out an entire roster.

But I remember the drop off from him after Hank went out

And Jerry can proudly point and say he's doing things necessary to bring this team to a SB...

If that’s the case, this Mazi pick will end up being terrible.
Dropping 25lbs off a 1st round pick and moving him to a new position is not a good look.
Most of us were excited about getting an athletic NT, even if he was something of a project.
Now we spent our1st round pick on a project NT to transform him into a 3T?
Ugh.
There's no way to spin that into anything but a big mistake.
