The Dallas Cowboys have an opportunity to make a major splash during the 2025 NFL season after being labeled one of the team's most "overlooked" teams.

The 2024 NFL campaign was an absolute disaster for the Dallas Cowboys, with injuries plaguing the team on both sides of the ball. Luckily for Dallas, the team was active in the offseason and took advantage of free agency, the trade market, and the NFL Draft to make moves to improve the roster.

The team won't be at full strength until later in the season with stars like Trevon Diggs and DeMarvion Overshown recovering from major injuries, while rookie Shavon Revel is also coming off a torn ACL.

But, while there are some concerns, they could be setting the Cowboys up for great success in 2025, because Dallas has been labeled as one of the league's most "overlooked teams" entering the season.

PFF's Dalton Wasserman pointed to the Cowboys' concerns about stopping the run, but also mentioned other strengths that make Dallas a legitimate threat.

I didn't read the article as I equate SI and ESPN as to sides of the same turd and don't regularly read or normally give credence to what the sportzzzz talking heads jot down!

But on the subject let's look at some recent past examples. In 2015 we were hurt and pretty turrible which we can say the exact same thing about the 2024 season. In '16 we added some talent, folks were healthy, and we got on a roll. Same can happen for us this year.

Then there's the example of the Washington Commodes last year. They had been perennially bad and turned it around.

Anything is possible.
We need an emoji for SI similar to the ESPN emoji: :espn:

Yes, they can be.
But I am not expecting a miracle season.

But this sums it up.

Yes they will be healthier if they can stay that way. As they were contenders win the NFCE going into 2024, and a playoff team.
But injuries derailed that pretty quickly.

However, they still need to get some of them back, and may not be ready until mid season. So the team must get off to a great start, with a weaker up front schedule. Before the gauntlet of playoff teams get there. Hopefully by then, they will be 100% healthy.

I've got a feeling!

You always say that! You've got a feeling! Oh..I've got a feeling! Right here, boy! Boy's got a feeling! Get him some Lemonade cause it's gonna be sweet!

I've got a feeling!

Tone I'm going for: Denzel Washington

When the GM overlooks your team, that does not count.

Well the bar has been set pretty low so just competing for one of the three wildcard spots would be considered a surprise.
