I think your come up with a reasonable number (like we did with Murray) and if he won't take it let him go. I think he will be shopping his services elsewhere, but in reality not many folks are going to want him unless he becomes amazingly good these last several games. I think if indeed those pictures had come out before he was signed he would not have been signed by Jerry. Its one thing to hear about pictures, its another thing to actually see them and know your fans and more importantly your female fans are now thinking you actually accept that type of behavior and want a player like that as part of your brand.

i don't care how bad a person acts, watching someone die from cancer was far worse and i had less options in simply changing the channel.

i will never get used to that expression.

Not a very nice term
The Cowboys aren't going to cut Greg Hardy.

Next topic?

They are not going to cut him unless he does something stupid again. However I think it's less likely that they are going to extend him. His play has been average and he is not worth the headache. He has really got to pick it up till the end of the season.

He definately carries the T.O. stigma, and I can't see him staying here for long. But it probably wouldn't be for the best to cut him just yet.

Let him finish the season ... pay him his money.

But cut ties after the year's over. Not worth the headaches.

The headaches are gone if we are 8-1. WIth Romo and Dez and Hardy and Lee we can be pretty good. I would like to try on for a few weeks.

I swear some of you just love the idea of panic. Can't wait to be the first one to panic.

First to cheer, first to panic

It's like as if it's a race.

If we lose another game, can he be traded for a late round pick? That's assuming we decide he's not someone we want long-term. I'm not against letting him go at this point.

Watching this board turn on Hardy shows how much power the media has in our country.
From sports to presidential elections the media agenda actually convinces people how they should think.
It's a shame the media is so influential when their motivations are not neutral in any capacity.

More sheep being led to the slaughter.

Word homie - that's some strong truth you are preaching

Haha, this is why I always laugh at fans who think they would be a better GM/owner than Jerry.

Keep your day jobs, folks.

At this point, I would rather Dallas go for the best draft pick, not try and be 8-8 and miss the playoffs and get the 15thish pick.

The problem with that is..

if they do that..

there is no guarantee the team would make the right choice with the selection.

They would still hold to the belief Romo can play another half-decade..

and that RB's are not worth a big contract or early pick.

Which means we would just trade back out of the spot to get another draft pick and select a DL to replace Hardy.

How is that going to fix our problems?

I mean that's like the year we had the #1 pick one year and we blew it on Russell Maryland.

Please..stop and think what you wish for.

He has 16 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 INT, and 1 FF in 5 games. This is hardly "average".

I agree, but it does look to me like their patience is being tested and their enthusiasm and effusive praise for him has waned.

I think the front office is growing tired of having to have the weekly talks with him and having to make new excuses for him on a regular basis. I think they were prepared for the criticism over past issues when they signed him, but what they didn't expect was having to deal with new issues going forward.
