Cowboys can use off time for improvement

The dog days of summer can drain a man. For the Dallas Cowboys and their players it can be a time for improvement.
Organized team activities have come to an end for the Dallas Cowboys, and now the waiting game for training camp has commenced. During these dog days of summer, the coaching staff and front office are hoping for the players to stay out of trouble.
The players can use this time off to spend time with their families, go on vacation, go back to their hometowns, basically anything they want. Hopefully for the team’s sake the players are using this time to improve their bodies, their minds, and their overall play.
For players such as corner-back Orlando Scandrick, and linebacker Jaylon Smith it is a time they can spend getting their bodies right and jumping into the playbook. For players like quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant it is a time they can use to get in sync and back to past form.
For the rookie class such as running-back Ezekiel Elliott it is a time to prepare their bodies for the long grind, and get their mind wrapped around the playbook. It’s a long season, and the foundation for success is being laid out now.
The coaching staff can use this time to tweak their base packages and decide what philosophies they are going to run on each side of the ball this year. They have seen which new players have shined in their roles, and where others may have struggled. They can use this time to prepare the players to learn their role in training camp, and utilize them to the best of their abilities...
