Dallas Cowboys superstar CeeDee Lamb is being predicted to break NFL records during the 2025 season, with the arrival of George Pickens playing a role.

The Dallas Cowboys revamped the receiving corps during the NFL offseason in a big way with the addition of star wide receiver George Pickens. Pairing Pickens with another superstar like CeeDee Lamb gives the Cowboys one of the most dangerous passing attacks in the league.

Lamb is known for his work out of the slot and being as consistent as it gets in the NFL, while Pickens is one of the best deep threats over the past few season.

With the addition of Pickens, Lamb has a great opportunity to see more open looks in the passing game and NFL.com is predicting that Lamb will make the most out of them.

That 4th receiving spot could end up being crucial if someone gets injured.

I want the best receivers we can get.

Pickens will help Lamb though. It's gonna be fun to watch them both. That., and the pass rush should be a blast...

Decent o-line, A plus passing attack and pass rush.

I don't see lamb's targets increasing this season. I think it will stay around the 150 mark which averages about 9 targets a game.

I believe that Dak will have a larger, more diverse group of potential receivers this season. He will at least have a true WR2. His TEs will be more seasoned and the RBs are here specifically due to their talent as receivers.

I think that Lamb will get more out of his targets than he did in previous seasons. He will have about 100-120 receptions with a better average gain and he will surpass his 12 TDs in in 2023

100 receptions for 1500 yards and 14 TDs.

I don't think Pickens will help Lamb, as much as Lamb will help Pickens.

Pickens probably won't draw defensive attention, and he probably won't see a lot of volume. We just need him to make one or two big "dagger" plays a game, when teams start rolling their safeties towards CeeDee and give Pickens one-on-one deep looks.

CeeDee will still get his normal targets - feeding him anything less than 100 catches on the season should be a fireable offense. But I'm not sure if he's going to be any more efficient with that volume. He's already super-efficient with it already.

The big gains are are going to come from the WR2 spot. We're going to take Tolbert and Flourney's volume and feed it to a WR who can be like 50x more explosive with it.

"Lamb produced 135 receptions in 2023 with a healthy Prescott, which was 14 catches shy of the league mark of 149 established by former Saints receiver Michael Thomas in 2019.“

In their "way-too-early bold predictions" for the season, NFL.com predicted Lamb would break the NFL's single-season receptions record. The current record is 149 receptions, set by former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas in 2019.
Highly unlikely to happen. The addition of Pickens with expected improvement of Mingo plus a shift towards more of a rushing game will keep CeeDee from setting that record.
