Makes sense for them to get both of these done now. Tony and spencer could give us 10 million of cap room to sign a safety,rb and olinemen. Then the draft

Glad that they're really working to extend Spencer and create cap room, but I still wrestle with whether or not it was right to franchise Spencer in the first place (but that debat's been pretty worn out to this point).

Considering the Franchise Tag hit, as well as FA DE's signing for less, I question it as well. I'm expecting that Spencer signs a long term contract, but something more reasonable per year, than the franchise tag.

Call me crazy but I'm not thrilled about signing a 32-year old guard...

I would rather have Cooper or Warmack via the draft but can't say I wouldn't be happy with Moore. Being 32 years old is a concern though. But one I could live with right now.

What if they just swap out 31 yr old Nate Livings for 32 yr old Brandon Moore? Moore was a probowler in 2011 with Callahan as his coach.

Not too thrilled with his age, but hes a solid player. Gives them options of BPA, instead picking a G at 18, if they go that route.

I'm with you. But let's wait and see what the contract looks like if we do sign him. Maybe they get him on a 2 year deal.

I would still pick Cooper at 18. OL is our biggest need.

Smith/Cooper/Costa/Moore/Parnell is a huge upgrade over last year.

There are bunch a FAs out there that could help us...the market really slowed down after the feeding frenzy. Prices are dropping by the day.

Wouldn't it be sweet if Dallas could make some nice little upgrades at non-sucker rates after all of this knashing of teeth.

The ideal way to enter a draft is to feel good about going BPA as much as possible.

And yes, if Cooper is there grab him please (unless one of the top 3 OTs somehow falls).
I'm fine with Richardson too. We need to get younger on the dline going forward.

Hey, maybe Leary pans out and Cooper plays center.

It would be awful hard to pass up on Cooper.

Or sign a soon to be 30 DE who has never played DE in the NFL to a long term deal

Why swap out Livings?

Overall Livings played far better than Bern.

They were complaining about Moore's age. Although I agree with you about Livings/Bern but all reports act like the Cowboys like Bernadeau better.
