Cowboys closing on deal with Cooper Kupp

Stefon Diggs is my pick because I think he'll be the cheapest coming off the ACL tear.
More and more players are becoming available everyday. Like the Vikings cutting their center who was a 1st round pick.

I agree Im beginning to get the feeling its going to be an edge or a corner and both are needs. In perfect world its edge,CB and RB in first 3 rounds IMO. I know theres alot of folks that want a DT but I am thinking with the Osa signing and the investment in Mazi (who I dont care for) we wont see a DT till pick 149
Yeah I’m scared of taking a DT high. That guy has to be a day 1 starter.

I hear you, and he would be an upgrade over what we had last year— no question.

But at what cost? And what can we actually count on from a health/durability standpoint?

I would be fine with taking Tet at 12… or a trade back and taking Golden or Ekbuka (sp?) and getting some extra capital.

At this point, I don’t see any vet WR as a long term solution and the guys out there all have some question marks.

At the end of the day, we definitely need more weapons, and we have the money, so let’s do something lol
They can sign a veteran and still draft a first round receiver. They would just trim the fat off the back end of the receiver room and make the team better.

Agreed. I'm ok with that. A star at WR1. A solid WR2 and then young developmental guys with high ceilings (Mingo, Flournoy, and maybe Tolbert).

I hope they concentrate on the DT depth and RB depth in the draft and take advantage of it early. Wouldn't be upset with an OL pick on day 1 or day 2.

Edit: This didn't age well at all. Just seeing the reports that Dallas is not in fact in the mix for Kupp.
Right not even a full hour before the reports killed it smh. This team………

I wouldn’t hate it. He is a big, reliable, possession WR.

Health is getting to be an issue, and he won’t be stretching the field, but if we draft a decent WR and utilize Turpin more as a weapon in the passing game— then Keenan may be a nice complimentary piece on the outside that can move the chains and help a bit in the RZ
So if you got kupp, who you gonna cut to make room for him?

Are we really looking at our WR depth chart worrying about who we would have to cut? Our depth at the position should not keep us from signing anyone.

I'd even look at possibly trading Tolbert if you needed to make room but really liked a guy further down like Flournoy.

The joke is on you JJ is confusing Cooper Kupp with Copper Rush in senility addled brain.....

I wonder what our honest offer was

As far as signing Cooper Kupp goes, I'll believe it when I see it. There will be other teams bidding and we'll be obliged to outbid them. Will this FO have the guts to do it? I hope so. Stay tuned. It'd be a real challenge for Kupp to make a contender out of the C'boys. If so, let's wish him the best. He might be just the spark to make a difference. ;)
