Many of us have been Cowboys fans for 20 + years. The threads we see in this forum have been repeated each season with only the names changing after another loss. We as fans want to win each game after years of frustration. We can blame the players & they will either be replaced or retire.The one constant is the owner & of the last 10 years the coach & that is not changing anytime soon.

The problem this season, is on defense. When a team scores 30 points, the team should win. Most of us knew, that would probably be our weakness on the team, before the season started. I'm still having nightmares of Gurley ripping through our defense.

Never going to win until the defense is fixed. And now the Ol is struggling. It's always something. Can't have 2 back to back good seasons.

Sad but at this point..Sean Lee is the only blue chip player we have. Take him away, and this is the worse defense in NFL history.

Still have faith in a couple young guys but Lee means so much to this defense it’s not even funny.

Assuming Lee can play going forward and the other missing guys return, I suspect this defense will come around to being a middle of the pack group.
Right now, it's that same old scenario.
The ceiling is set based on the defense.

Amazingly, this defense is ranked ahead of 7-8 others in the league. Hard to believe.

20th in total defense
21st vs the pass
16th vs the run
26th in scoring defense.

It’s insane we have to rely on one player so heavily. If Lee has a bad game, we have the Bronco fiasco...if he misses a game, we have the Rams fiasco.

You can say it’s similar on most teams if they lose their top player but it’s not. Texans had a top notch defense last season without Watt. Chiefs lose their best player and they’re still a top unit.

Hopefully some of these young guys work out. Getting Hitches back will also help from an experience standpoint. I still have faith in Jaylon, he is just a rookie though that we had to rely on too much.

The Texans are fairly loaded.
We lose Lee and it's a struggle. Makes me wonder how they did it in 2014. McClain was pretty good, I guess.

Most of us who have been around figured this out long ago. 22 years and counting what else is to be said. Careful though the resident Jerry apologists will be around any time now to set you straight. Some in a manner where you have no clue as to what they are talking about.
