Trading to get more picks may be a good idea in this draft. The Cowboys have major holes at multiple positions. We need a bunch of impactful draft picks and some good FAs sprinkled in…ooops…I forgot. This front office doesn’t do FAs.
The have to sign free agents this time and will have money to do it.

Does it matter, who’s the next taco, mazi or will it be trading up and down to keep his face on TV draft night.
They have a history of drafting well. Especially, when they draft in the top half of the draft. To be negative about their drafting is strange when you look at the majority of their past 1st round picks.

10 is a hell of a lot better than 15. A 5 pick difference in every round is very important and will change history.
and YET we got CD lamb at 17 there would be players just like him there we also moved down from 11:50 and picked up Michael Parsons we got Trayvon diggs in the second round this is not an exact science I don't care if you're picking #1 or #31 in the middle is a good place and I'll take it I don't care where we pick that's what I'm saying we have no control people can we stop acting like we have control and we trust that we're going to get it right no matter where we pick we're going to pick the proper player at the proper position there is no blueprint or exact science many great players have come from the middle of rounds some undrafted FAs!!!

To me it literally doesn't even matter where we pick they just have to get best player available we have a lot of holes so they really can't go wrong no matter who they pick... All the good players are not gone by pick 15 or there wouldn't be six other rounds Jesus people let it go take the stick out your butts and just relax

The past doesn't matter. My point stands a 5 pick difference in every round is going change our picks in a big way. There will be good players available in every round and a 5 pick difference is huge.

but it doesnt you can miss at any spa some people are gonna pick the wrong players when they pick before us and we're gonna end up with the right players just like when a team does dumb things like trades 3 first round picks to move up to five to get Trey Lance yeah that would be the 49ers people do that all over the top of the first round but there are so many good players it won't matter we need every position there's gonna be a top player I don't care what you think about the difference between 10 and 15 we've seen hall of farmers go at 15 between 10 and 15 we've seen tons of good players on our own team let alone I believe Patrick mahomes was picked around 13 TJ Watt 27 lamb 17 Trayvon diggs second round happens all the time time I believe Aaron Donald was taking around 13 I'm just telling you it's a good spot anywhere between 10 and 15 that is how it goes and they're still not gonna go and lose games for you so however it works out it works out you all just need to wait till February that's when the seasons over that's when the combine starts happening that's when we can start really filling out a mock drop right now it's too early and I'm telling you I don't care it's much better than picking in the bottom 10 and the bottom 5 every year for the last like 5 or the last six years we're not picking high....

And I'm saying sometimes this is an easier decision to remove the cloudiness of trying to figure out if somebody worth the top ten pick when you're at 10 to 15 it's much more comfortable to take a player there that you don't think you reached for that you're not sure about and I think that's still a good spot 10 or 15 I'm not gonna have a debate with you 'cause you know it doesn't matter we will know in February where we're picking we will have a good idea with the mock drafts are we have a good idea what teams are ahead of us and what they need and what might slide to us but right now this is a way too soon conversation and yet everyone's getting all serious about it I just showed you so many big names that have zoomed past I mean pookah Nukua go? Why wasn't this dude like a fourth rounder or something I don't even remember it and everyone saying I cannot believe we passed up on him you know what 32 teams passed up on him four times until they finally picked him guys like camera all over the draft you just have to pick the right players it's not really where you pick it's picking best player available and really having a good scout team to tell you where these guys are and when you pick you pick the correct guy

LOL........ just last week some CZ members were talking playoffs after that big win against the gnats. Now we're back to tank talk
This is the Zone where arm chair QB’s have the worst analysis and conclusions in all of the NFL. We all rip Jerry but I bet he gets on here just to get a good laugh, daily.

They don't trade out, either. Only in.

Micah is going nowhere. After his 5 years, Jerry can designate him as a restricted free agent if they cannot agree on a contract. For 2 more seasons... it's not that he should or shouldn't. It's just that Jerry and the Front Office has an evidence based approach of not proactively engaging in top tier free agency, trades (out bound), or early contract negotiations (although Tyron Smith says "Hi").

Essentially - incompetent.

It won't be a RB. Possibly a WR but far more likely a defensive player.
Well I have that guy blocked but if you're talking about our first round choice most likely it's not a running back they might surprise you I guess a good thing that rico's been shining lately is they don't have to reach for a running back they're planning in the second and third round we need one with a lot of speed a guy can create some cuts to go with a guy like Rico even though we don't really need to keep Rico let's be honest like he's good he's solid but he is the type of back you can pick up in the sixth round I would take two backs I would take one around second or third round and I would take another one late in the draft that way you don't have to pay Rico if he wants too much money I mean Miami did it The Jets did it they didn't even need running backs and they I believe both picked 2 running backs they're the ones that took the running backs from us maybe one of those will be available lol LOL

but I would take best player available if that happens to be a running back you gotta take them but they gotta be realistic literally have great grades and have a really solid board and don't shy away from your board you could take just about anyone wide receiver pass rushing defensive end or outside linebacker type or a defensive tackle I mean those three positions right there are what we need most but you couldn't even go wrong maybe with a middle linebacker I mean with overshowns injuries creating a new need in the draft..
So I can see where if it's very close on their board you would go with a outside linebacker slash defensive end type like overshone you know like Abdul Carter someone who's like Micah Parsons that would be a really good pick in the first round I know everyone's talking about that defensive tackle but Michigan I don't know if they wanna do that again and there's two of them in Michigan and I don't know if we're gonna get the one that we want 'cause we're in the 9 or 10 slot...
I guess the point is we need so much you can't go wrong just pick the best guy on your board the things I'm excluding though but you could still pick them is offensive line defensive backs we have so many of those I know a lot of them are hurt but there's a room full of really good defensive backs we don't really need a tight end so you can skip those positions in the first 3 rounds maybe even 4 I don't think you need to look for any of those because I think they're all on our team right now with the right coaching staff we need those other positions though...
RB, IDL, OLB/DE, and WR
each round keep that in mind and pick the very best at one of those positions whoever has the highest grade the most upside that feels generational grab him but like I said I might go running back twice...

I doubt the BSU rb falls to where we will be picking but....... you never know. We do know Jerry is committed to Dak. The offense sucked this year even when he was healthy, so I think Jerry is going to give Dak some more weapons. We can't afford a Tee Higgins so most likely he will be looking at the draft. I would personally prefer a DE or LB, but Jerry is Jerry.
