Fisher seems to think Dallas wants both Showers and Vaughan for the PS. Makes zero sense to me unless they think Showers can do more things. Two PS QBs is almost unheard of.

I'm a little surprised w/ the Vaughn release.......

Yeah he had a bad pre-season. But the Cowboys didn't do him any favors by trotting out him out there to watch him run for his life. Vaughn needs to send a thank you note to RJ Dill, Weems and Gibson.

If the talent is so rich that we just can't possibly keep them all, why aren't we peddling a few of these guys for picks?

We don't seem to be good at doing that. I call it the Curse of the Hershel Walker trade. It seems we've rarely been able to trade anyone for any value since then.

That doesn't mean I necessarily think Gardner will get pick up. There might be someone intrigued enough with his potential to do it, but every year we wring our hands over Cowboys players who we believe will definitely get grabbed and rarely does it happen, or they turn out to be a great player that we misevaluated.

I just don't get this fascination with Vaughn, the dude totally sucked the entire preseason and they act like he is the next Tony Romo and just needs a little more developing.

At least they did not keep him on the 53 this year, that would have been monumentally stupid.
