So we are carrying 4 QBs on the roster? Romo, Dak, Showers, and Sanchez?

I don't see us going into the season carrying 4 QBs unless Romo is going to IR. Under the rules he has to be part of the 53 before going to IR if you want to bring him back so you cant put him on IR before the cutdowns.

So if Romo is going to IR, that frees up a roster spot for who? Has to be somebody we claim off waivers I would thing, maybe a DE?

The Sanchez signing isn't official because we need to make a move since we are already at 53. Room going to IR allows us to do this and keep Showers. When Romo is eligible to come back, Showers is likely cut and added to the practice squad.

If we want to add a DE, we'll need to make a different move

Gotcha, that makes more sense.

I think its almost a given now that Romo goes on short term IR tomorrow..........apparently this "not ruling out for week one" was pure BS by Garrett.

No, Romo to short term IR , meaning Spot for Sanchez, showers probably will be kept since Sanchez still dont knows the system , 2-3 weeks down depending upon how Dak attack works and Sancehz practicing , May be they will make a move on Showers. Or wait until Romo comes back
