Yeah good call. He's gone for 125+ for 6 straight games, breaking the record. Hey what goes up must come down right?

Dude, stop.

49ers had 170 rushing yds vs us.
Cards had 222 rushing yds vs us.

It's not about stopping one player from running against us, it's about stopping the other team's running game. Cherry picked stat, means nothing.

Well duh. It's still an interesting stat and not easy to accomplish.

Honestly though, speaking of guys who havent got 100 yards on us.. Conner came the closest. What would the Cardinals want for him. He'd be perfect on this team.

Misleading tbh. Keenen Allen/ Wilson should have over 100 yards. Still impressive but a bit misleading. I think AJ Brown definitely gets 100.

He’s hurt, again.

Never trade for a guy who’s injured every single year and plays a physical position. He’s literally never had a one healthy season since college.

Both Dallas and Philly kind of just quirky irrelevant stat (maybe not to A.J. Brown personally...as I could see him pushing for more money if he goes over 2K yards)

But we were utterly dominated by S.F. yet we held their WR to under 100 yds. So what? Philly lost to the stinking Jets....yet A.J. still went over 125 yds so what good did it do the team?

Means nothing. We could hold A.J. to 30 yards and lose 40-13. A.J. could go off for 200 yds and 3Tds and we could win 40-21

Yawn

How is that relevant?
Its not relevant. What if 3 RBs all have 90 yds rushing and the QB chips in another 40-50. Giving up 300+ yds rushing is atrocious no matter how you divide the yards

In a world of meaningless stats this one belongs.

The Cardinals rushed for 222 yards. Does it matter how many RBs shredded the Cowboys defense to amass that number?

In the sport of football, context matters. Sorry this is a long answer but yeah.
If a QB is throwing a bunch of turnover worthy plays and they're dropped, math will tell you eventually they won't have dropped interceptions.

Also, some QBs won't miss guys when they get open.

So can we talk about almost touchdowns as well?

And yet, our own individual players are criticized for failing to meet the goal of 100 yard games.

In the grand scheme of things it's a cool stat that should be given some props, if Belichek did that people all over the world would be praising him.

100 yard games are stats that are celebrated by individuals.

Cool stats and "well done defense" overall in 5 of 7 games.
