Can someone tell me who was playing in those 6 DB packages tonight. It looked like to me we had 3 corners, Watkins and Hamlin playing safety? and Roy Williams as kind of a "joker" type player? I was leisurely watching the game and our TV isn't good enough to tell some people apart, haha.

It's the same package we were always going to see in passing situations.

The media grabbed it as a "Roy to LB" story, when it was more or less a case of being able to have more speed and coverage abilities on the field and getting away with it because Roy can help stop the run like a LB.

Just don't let JFE hear me say that. She hates Roy and thinks he is holding back this team and franchise.

ah so I was right. Seems like a pretty good scheme for a team that wants to pass 50 times a game

It was intriguing to say the least.........Now that we have all our DB's we can put one of them on Shockey next Sun., TWO on Plax and one on Toomer. If they put Moss in the slot that could cause some problems but then Newman can cover him, put Henry and a safety on Plax, that would leave Reeves on Shockey and a nickel back (Jones) on Toomer. We're alot better equipped than the first time we played them. Unfortunately, so are they. Their defense isn't anything like it was the first time we played them. We'll have to double Osi I would think: at least leave Fasano in to chip him.

Where is this new fangled pass rush. I'm just not seeing as much pass rush as I thought we would. Several times, McNabb had all day to pass. The problem is he doesn't have any receviers. Our lunch money would have been taken if we had actually faced decent receviers. The Eagles were 30th is sacks given up, and we only tallied three sacks.

To me, three sacks against a good offense line is good. Three sacks against a troubled (30th ranked) offensive line is NOT good. Several times NcNabb held on to the ball at length without pressure at all.

Yeah, the pressure could have been better. I really thought Wade was bringing these incredible blitz schemes. ??? I dont see them often.
