I thought so too. Maybe they was ranked #1 in points allowed but 5th overall. Remember their defensive slogan? DWA "Defense with Attitude!" I think Kenny "The Shark" made that up.

I guess if you want to drag Dak into a conversation about the defense being bad you could say that if Dak didn’t make $40 million per then there would be more resources for the D. Bonus points if you mention that Dak also needs high priced talent around him which farther depletes defensive resources.

This will also draw out the salary cap is going up crowd and possibly a few from the it’s not your money crowd.

We can then go full circle on this topic without mentioning the waste of money that is Jaylon Smith. Throw in a lack of a safety and we might as well close the thread.
