LVE was all over the field, like his rookie season. Good to see.
LVE sucked in this game. Its the Jaylo Smith syndrome. Lost of tackles, 5 yards deep.

So Tampa ran on us at will and decided on their own to stop at 19 points? Gotcha. Defense had nothing to do with it despite being on the field over n over.
I keep preaching this every year we have to start using a first round draft pick on a defensive lineman but we never do.
We continue to work around this problem with projects like Bohana and Ridgeway hoping to find the next j Ratliff
Instead we should be drafting a Bob Lilly or Randy White.
Also contributing to this problem is the fact that the offense could not sustain a drive because it continued to get a penalty here or there that it couldn't overcome Three and out does nothing to help your defense

Do you mean 111 of his 127 was on that side? I was wondering what those numbers were because that was honestly the only part of our D that I thought was bad.LVE had a mixed night. He made a couple of good plays on some screens and short passes, but in the run game he was awful. In fact, all the Cowboys LBs were pretty horrible against the run. They seem to have difficulty recognizing the play and getting to the point of attack late. Even Parsons struggles with this. The difference is he has the speed to make up for slow recognition. LVE doesn't. And watching LVE get shoved around by blockers was embarrassing. A TE flattened him on one run play to the outside.
Fornette had 111 of his 27 yards to the right side of the Dallas defense. That's where you will see LVE lined up most of the time. I think teams will run in that direction because Dorance Armstrong sucks, and LVE is slow to see the play develop. It was only 1 game but he looked like the 2020 LVE to me.

6 snaps I believe.
True, and Tolbert didn't make the game day active roster.Pretty piss poor to have a 2nd rounder at a position of need only take 6 snaps.
Watched game again and you are 100% right sorry but I'm still greedy and want us to use a first round draft pick on a defensive tackle I can't help myselfYou DO realize that almost ALL of Tampa's rushing yards came from runs off tackle and outside to the left, right? Their run game up the gut was handled well. Outside runs are NOT the fault of the 2 NT's you just mentioned (and, one didn't even play). The edge players are the ones responsible for that.

Oh, I’m with you on that. In fact, I want Quinn or whoever is the HC/DC this or next year to just go ahead and install some variety of the 3-4 do Micah can just do what he’s at. And, because of that, we need a stud or 2 DE/DT types (like Jalen Carter or Bryan Bresee) paired with a stud NT (like Siaki Ika from Baylor) to make it work. I’m definitely down with your logic…Watched game again and you are 100% right sorry but I'm still greedy and want us to use a first round draft pick on a defensive tackle I can't help myself
Zero TFL. Too many tackles beyond LOS vs run.
Running the ball prolifically leads to lower scores. How do you not know this?So Tampa ran on us at will and decided on their own to stop at 19 points? Gotcha. Defense had nothing to do with it despite being on the field over n over.
I can't lay any blame on a defense that held Brady to 12 1st half points and 1 TD overall. The Cowboy offense left them high and dry the entire game.
He was steam rolled by OL several times , he cant disengage and make tacklesLVE was all over the field, like his rookie season. Good to see.
May be someone like Ray lewis or Ro McclainI think it is unreasonable for us to expect that he would be a LB who would take the punishment to the opposing player, take on a blocker or fill a gap.
He is a softer version of Eugene Lockhart.
Way too many tackles by the secondary......
