Look at the New York Jets.

Is Mark Sanchez better than Tony Romo? No.

Is Braylon Edwards better than Miles Austin? No.

Is Dustin Keller better than Jason Witten? No.

So why are the Jets in the AFC Championship and the Cowboys are sitting home?

The Jets have one of, if not the best offensive lines in football, and an offensive coordinator who UNDERSTANDS how to use his personnel correctly.

In Dallas you have so many weapons at skill positions, (Romo, Austin, Witten, Felix, etc) an offensive line who is built for power football, but an offensive coordinator who has a "finesse" style and doesn't understand how to use the strengths of its personnel.

This has been the motto of Garrett all along. One week he'll look like an offensive genius, and the next week he could look like a 6 year old playing Madden. We need an offensive coordinator who understands how to use its personnel on a CONSISTENT basis.

The Jets have the formula: an elite defense (which I believe we're close to having), an elite offensive line (which I believe we're not even close to having), and coordinators on both sides of the ball who understand how to use their personnel (I believe Wade knows how to but Jason doesn't).

It's time for Jason to move on.

I really am hoping some other team will want Garrett as HC. I think that is the only way he is gone, Jerry loves Garrett and will not fire him, IMO.

The Jets have an incredible defense and an offense that is lucky to win a gain when it doesn't trip over itself.

The Jets offense isn't what we should be modelling our team over, as it has little to do with them winning.

I kind of disagree with you. The Jets' D is the best in the NFL, but the Cowboys aren't that far behind on D either. People were saying we had the best D before this weekend. This should put much less stress on the offense to put up a great amount of points, and we should be in EVERY ballgame unless the offense turns the ball over, has negative plays and questionable play calls. The Cowboys did all three yesterday.

You have to credit the Jets' offense and Brian Schottenheimer for knowing how to use their personnal correctly, especially the running game. The QB isn't turning the ball over, the Jets have the best OL in football, an amazing running game and a coordinator who is consistent.

Now which things don't the Cowboys have?

Best or even good OL? Nope.

Amazing running game? At times, yes.

A coordinator who is consistent? Nope.

A QB who isn't turning the ball over? Before this weekend, yes.

So who's the problem?

Absolutely. I get disgusted when people try to blame Romo for the loss yesterday. I feel bad for Tony.

Well, at least they need to put up more than 3 points. It's a very rare defense that gets you a win 3-0 on a consistent basis, particularly when you're turning the ball over several times a game.

You said it right there. When you're turning the ball over on almost every possession and putting your defense in a very tough spot, it's a losing formula. I'm saying if the offense DOESN'T turn the ball over or have multiple negative plays, you give your defense a chance to gain some momentum or get a turnover.

I know. How can anybody blame Romo on yesterdays lose, is beyond me.
Peyton Manning couldn't have done anything behind that offensive line yesterday.

If we had the Jets Oline, we wouldn't have had to play in Min. We would have the first seed and would kick thier but at home next week. Parcells said it best; the oline sets the tone for the team. Our oline has been lazy for years. Until this is resolved. NO Superbowl for the Cowboys, just more bad heavy metal songs.

Not saying I know you're wrong. I'm not even saying I think you're wrong.

Questions I do have for you:

Are or should the other 28 teams not playing next weekend make coaching changes? Should the three left who don't win the SB?

Did Garrett do anything right this year?

How do you think he did the past month, full year?

Did our offense improve over last year?

Could our failings yesterday be the result of anything other than Garrett?

OMT I hated the pitch out to Barber!

The reason the Jets are in the AFC Championship Game is because SD's idiot kicker missed 3 FGs!

2 of them were easily doable.

it's not a matter of using personnell correctly, it's making all the pieces fit.

sorry, but you *sound* like a 6 year old playing madden all upset that the real world just doesn't work that way.

Yes but they kept it close enough on the road for that to happen. Gota give them props.

Yes, they played very well and in the end they earned it.

But good grief, SD's pro bowl kicker was horrible, to say the least. It's really a game that SD should have won if the FG kicker can kick accurately at around 40 yrds.
