That's called just being human. You can love the call all you want, but lets be honest come year 3 or 4 you're going to be making some business decisions. The majority of players are out of the league and never get a chance at a 2nd contract. They have likely one opportunity to secure that huge payday that can set up themselves and their families for life.

The talent of the roster is routinely overvalued by fans and the front office.

It's okay if fans do it. It's a problem when the front office does it.

100%. This teams greatest weakness has been and will be the front office for as long as the Jones' run thr club.

Love cannot be defined in other people. These players worked hard to ge to the NFL. Not sure if they loved that or not?

Then came the $$$. So we don't know if they love football and don't need to work really hard anymore,,,they got it made, one way or the other for the rest of their lives.

Our old Cowboys team in the 70's would make these rich babies crap their pants. Then after the game they had to work other jobs. Try and work other jobs for some $$...come Sunday, kick *** and take names.

Not sure what is in the mind of these jokers.

It seems like the players the Cowboys draft overall have very good talent but are looking for that 2nd contract instead of loving the game.
This was what "RKG" was all about and something Garrett always harped on, but it seems like McClay and co. were never truly interested in that trait when it came to picking players.

And now we have players publicly saying they can't give it their all on all the plays.

It is more of the Dallas Cowboys brand. When you become a Cowboy it’s like being a made man. When Jaylon signed his extension he also developed a sun glasses deal with the Joneses. Dak probably has one of the top 3 endorsement checks in the league because he is a Cowboy. The issue is and always will be the marketing of the Cowboys and the Joneses being the president and general managers of the team.
