A draft party just sounds boring. Lol its the draft.

i only went to 1 and that was back in irving. i believe we drafted alvin harper that year but it was so long ago i don't remember anymore. :)

but i do remember it was fun. however, if the cowboys were drafting say - 15th or later, that's easily 4-5 hours before they pick at times and that DOES get old. makes me wonder if they only do this when their pick is in the first hour. i'd not sit there until midnight to pick 28th to see jones trade down and make me come back tomorrow all on $10 beer. :)

Always amuses me at people that complain about the prices when they are the same at just about every major sporting event.
But also, they complain about an $8 beer, in which you get a souvenir cup. But those same people will spend $8 for a pack of cigarettes and all you get is cancer.
Or will pay $50 green fees, and $15 for 6 golf balls or whatever the price is, that you eventually lose. And have a below par scorecard to go with it.
Then sit in the golf club and pay $5 or $6 a beer.

If not that, then some other vice, or hobby..

well except those prices are consistent in cost where ever you go. $10 for a mug of beer in a plastic cup that will fade out by summer is a bit much when at a bar it's 1/2 that price and at home, 1/10th.

I don't buy them. When I go to a game, I usually spend maybe $11. $6, yes extremely high, for a Dr. Pepper that last me the entire game, or until 4th quarter. Sometimes a $5 hot dog.
I usually eat before I go to the game.
Yeah the cups are good to use outdoors or in the garage. Then toss when faded, as I have a lot of them.
They used to give you a real nice heavy plastic cup, dark blue with the Star on it for your beer. Now it's a thin clear cup with a faint star on it.

I went in 2014, it was cool to be able to go onto the field (although its not the actual game field turf) and into the tunnels where the players come onto the field...but other than that it was just meh....I actually only stayed about 45 minutes and decided Id rather hurry home and watch it like always.....would of been kinda fun to be apart of that buzz though over the possibility of draftin Manziel, and then see the reactions when we went the "boring" route with Martin lol......

I actually was just invited into the legends club for the draft. All food drinks included. Good to know someone in the cowboys organization

Draft parties are great especially if you have kids. I took my kids to Giants draft party last year and it was a blast for them. We played catch(they tried to imitate OBJ one handed catch exactly at the same spot but failed), we visited Giants locker room, there was face painting outside. All in all, a great family event if you have the little ones. If it weren't for my kids, I don't think I would go.

I went by myself and didn't have a very good time, but I was also in a weird place in my life.

It absolutely would be fun if you had the right group of people, though. Plenty of pretty girls walking around and it's great to be surrounded by Cowboys fans. There are some smart fans there, too. I made small talk with a guy who was HYPED about the Byron Jones pick.
