Ratings wise it’s probably a close call but it’s a credit to the NFL their priority for providing key matchups with playoff implications. My hunch is it will pay off dividends in ratings.
I'll have to see it to believe it. Does the casual fan really care about that game? Because I know I don't lol. If they are doing it for the integrity of their game then I commend them because they for sure will lose ratings. I do agree with the decision though they should put the better game on for sure.

It’s difficult for me to grasp the mentality of a casual fan. But I’d have to believe if you don’t have any alliance with Dallas or Phi you’d be more interested in a playoff implication matchup.

There’s a reason the league and networks flex these games. And the league rarely does anything that would hinder revenue. In this case I’d argue it’s a win win deal for them and the fans .

I suppose if you’re not in the local or regionally broadcast for the Cowboys you won’t receive the game now . That alone will hinder ratings for those casual fans unwilling to subscribe to streaming .

And I’m not sure how any diehard and even casual fans wouldn’t be interested in one of the best playoff implications games of the day.

The thing about sports is the best games generate emotion and energy. Cowboys probably have as many people that hate them as love them if not more.

It’s why the Yankees bring ratings, the Lakers, Cowboys….casual fans are what run these ratings not the die hard. If this was Aaron Rodger’s Packers I get it. He’s the type of guy who brings eyes from guys who want to see him fail or do well.

Vikings or Packers in December is gonna be an ugly game but like I said I commend them for it. I think it has more to do with their brand and less to do with ratings. It’s the about the end game.

I think it can be about both. We’ll have to circle back with a follow up to compare ratings. But the league deserves a big applause for flexing the games.

Packers/Eagles are playing for a Division Championship, Dallas is playing for a worse draft pick
While I totally agree with league flexing the games with more interest and importance on Minn/ GB playoff implications there is still some playoff meaning to Egirls.

They do. And it may do well. I know a lot of Packers fans in the DFW area and they have a Packers bar so there may be a bigger fanbase then i'm thinking here. Interested in seeing how the ratings go.

I guess the NFL wasn’t interested in “America’s Red Headed Backup pt. 4” vs Tiny Hands

We might actually win with Hurts playing. We would be riding a 5 game winning streak if it wasn’t for the bad break against Cincinnati.
Their D has been kryptonite for Rush. The teams we have beaten — Wash, NY, Car, and TB — all have midling defenses.

Philly’s is very good— though with injuries mounting up— it isn’t what it was a few games ago.

Fangio has been a nemesis for us for a long time. I expect him to dial up plenty of packages that make a pedestrian Rush look like an absolute joke of a QB

We’ll have to see if the loss to Washington took anything out of them. Their D let them down. If Hurts doesn’t play it improves our chances of winning.

Agreed. Being at home and scrapping for the one seed will likely sharpen their focus and while I think our D can affect the passer, their ground game and screen game can give us fits.

Hope I am wrong as I would love for us to piss in their cheerios
