I really think that any projection past the 3rd round is simply wild speculation...I can't remember not being surprised at a 4th round (and beyond) pick. Since we have 4 selections in the first 3 rounds, I would not be surprised to see...

1a. OT ... Ryan Clady, Jeff Otah, Sam Baker

We MUST have someone to compete with Doug Free...I can definitely see Flo getting lured elsewhere. This would also cement Bigg Davis in a position that is NOT LT. I would love to pick CB here but the OT draft is MUCH thinner at the top.

1b. CB ... Leodis McKelvin, Antoine Cason, Aquib Talib, Tracy Porter

Obviously we need a CB, not only is our secondary getting older, we are continuously burned with all of these 3 and 4 receiver sets.

2. WR ... Lavelle Hawkins, Donnie Avery, draft slider etc...

Another obvious need. I really am interested to see Stanback in action this year. I also do not see Jerry going WR in the late first given the significant amount of busts that are seen in the first at this position. I also wouldn't be surprised if he traded up higher in this round to obtain a draft sliding WR.

3. RB ... Jamaal Charles, Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, Tashard Choice, Justin Forsett, Kevin Smith...the list goes on and on.

We really don't NEED a high round RB with Barber. It is sexy, I understand, but it is not necessary. This draft is so freaking deep at RB it is crazy. This could be a value pick for the ages!

Of course, free agency will really change our needs (including who of our own we end up resigning) and will mess this list up. As a bonus 4th round projection, I see us looking into a SS to "back up" The Biscuit and replace the Killer. Tom Zibikowski would be terrific, but I don't know if he would last this long.

I don't know whether Clady will be around at 22 . . . . But if he is and if we lose Flo, I think he would be a sensible pick (and value).

As for other OTs, one guy that could be interesting is C Williams from Vanderbilt. He did well in the Senior Bowl as well, and his stock is rising. He could probably be taken with the 2nd first rounder.

As for J Otah, I thought he was a bit raw (though he has a ton of upside)? Not sure if you can expect him to start from Day 1, but I guess he would give Free a run for his money in Year 2.

The other CB I like is Cromartie, esp. if we go CB at 28. I'd add him to your list.

Quite a bit hinges on what management decides to do with respect to Flo. I think they want to re-sign Hamlin, but I have no idea with respect to Flo.

I think McKelvin, Rogers-Crowmartie and Jenkins are the way to go for a first round corner. Cason is as good a zone corner to come out of the draft, but I think we'd prefer a cover guy.

If we don't sign Flo and aren't confident in the others on our roster, then a first round LT would be the way to go as well. I think the first 21 picks of the draft will determine which order we select the players, though I have a feeling we'll go CB first.

I like WR with the second pick - and Hawkins or a slider like Bowman would be reasonable. I don't mind WR at 29 either, and we could still pick up a good corner with the second rounder (Porter, Godfrey, Lee). I guess it's still early to say.

Tom Zibikowski would really help us out.....the kid is tough

Where exactely would he help us out? I'd take a pass on him, he doesn't look too fast out there on the field. Damn right he is tough, he is a boxer. He should stick with that.

I like it....value picks across the board, qlthough as ayJackson stated Cromartie needs to be right there at the top of the cb list. Hawkins will be one of the two best receivers to come out of this draft.

dont really see the point of a first round lineman lineman are normally the same across the board unless they are freaks like Joe Thomas and Dbrickashaw Ferguson we can get away with having a solid lineman later on in the draft. Other than Leonard Davis i don't thing any of the lineman we're 1st round pick and i believe this is Leonards first browl with us.

You are correct. Flo was a second rounder. I believe Gurode was a second or maybe even third or 4th. I'm not sure what Kyle and Columbo were cause they came to us from other teams.

Davis was a first rounder (Top 5 I believe) and this was his first Pro Bowl appearance. Of course that had a lot to do with the fact that Arizona had him playing out at LT instead of his natural position of RG.

I don't know if you noticed it or not, but our kick and punt coverage units, suck

he'd really help us out there

btw, I'm really high on Chris Johnson and getting a premier back in the 1st round to share the load w/ Barber, but if we don't, and end up w/ a guy like Charles, or Justin Forsett, I wouldn't mind it at all, it's just depends on the type of back we get
