What off the field concerns?Agree…but no one seems to be talking about the off the field concerns.
That + injury = I’m out.

McGinn wrote of Simmons: "Removed from consideration by one team for makeup issues. Another team expressed serious reservations. 'Kind of a f-----," said a fourth scout. "His (issues) are more football character. He has a complete bull(bleep) sense of urgency, like a total finesse player. Mental is an issue. Lacks power, struggles to anchor. Fundamentals are poor. Plays like a guy that was at a JUCO and just came here."what are the off field concerns?
In fairness those scouts say stuff like that about alot of guys. McGinn's piece is the only place Ive heard character issues withMcGinn wrote of Simmons: "Removed from consideration by one team for makeup issues. Another team expressed serious reservations. I question him bc he sounds like he might have a difficult immature personality and is going to pout mightily if denied opportunity to play CB and WR. He's already said publicly he would quit football if he can't play both. Cleveland doesn't have a decent QB. What will they do with a rookie diva wr who belongs at CB ?I question Hunter. I think he can be pro bowl level at either position but not the sure thing so many believe. Carter is the better prospect but still not an absolute can't miss being great player.
This draft has a lot of very good prospects that should reach near pro bowl production. This is a draft to fill a talent depleted team; not find the one guy you need to put you over the top.
certainly not the draft to find a franchise QB
Nonewhat are the off field concerns?
he is not a finesse player from highlights, intact the opposite, over aggressive sometimes.McGinn wrote of Simmons: "Removed from consideration by one team for makeup issues. I haven’t heard about any off the field issues. What’s being said?Agree…but no one seems to be talking about the off the field concerns.

Exactly.I haven’t heard about any off the field issues. What’s being said?
My general rule of thumb is unless they are felony charges/convictions, I’m not worried about it.
Not buying the interest what so ever, it's draft week where smoke is rampant.Injury player with off the field
issues.
Pass.
Micah and 12 gets us Josh Simmons.
Ummm....only twice in the last 11 years?Yeah let’s go OL for 3rd time out 4 first rd picks.
DeWare shot up all the boards late. This was one of the few cases of someone's measureables waking people up real late. A month before the draft he was I think like #20 on most boards.
Maybe, maybe not…you willing to roll the dice on that kind of potential risk AND injury concerns? In fairness those scouts say stuff like that about alot of guys. McGinn's piece is the only place Ive heard character issues with
For a potential All Pro LT, yes. Without the knee injury he probably goes in the top 5Maybe, maybe not…you willing to roll the dice on that kind of potential risk AND injury concerns?
hmmm interesting. yeah doesn't sound like a good mix for our environment.McGinn wrote of Simmons: "Removed from consideration by one team for makeup issues. To each their own…I think potential all pro is quite a stretch though. For a potential All Pro LT, yes. Without the knee injury he probably goes in the top 5
You draft Simmons, put him at LT and get Guyton's sorry behind over to RT to get Steele's even sorrier behind off the field. He is a tackle yes
But I was just being facetious because they will refuse to release Steele only to change it all up next season.
I'd still take last years Steele over last year's Guyton but thats like a tallest midget type comparison. You draft Simmons, put him at LT and get Guyton's sorry behind over to RT to get Steele's even sorrier behind off the field.
