Cowboys enamored with Josh Simmons

depends on his injury, patela injury sounds serious and I don't know if we can risk it.

Don't hate this at all. 12 does feel a little rich for Simmons, but we could make that argument of nearly every target the Cowboys have right now. Simmons in my mind could possibly end up being the top tackle from this class when it's all said and done. If not for the injury he very well could be in discussion as a top 10 pick.

Broaddus said yesterday if the go OL there he thinks Booker over Simmons on Cavanaugh podcast.

That injury is a red flag. His draft grade all comes down to the medical reports. If it weren't for that, he is a top 10 pick.
Dude was Erik Williams nasty prior to injury. With the off field issues too lol. Now the question is, do we take the risk or do we allow a team like the commies or Eagles get him? I have mixed emotions on the guy.

We are starting to hear names like Simmons, Booker, Zabel. Tells me:

1. They probably expect their receiver target to be gone and these are the names they know will be there for the taking.
2. They don't have a lot of faith in Guyton and Hoffman and/or want to extricate Steele's contract from the cap and have prioritized T and G, with bonus points for a guy like Zabel who can do both.
3. They might be anticipating a trade down and these are the targets

I don't like investing yet another 1 in OL. We have two well regarded OL coaches, I would hope they can make do. They've done a lot of work on the position though, so I fully expect more resources thrown at it.

What it tells me is a good possibility will trade down. All these names will be safe pickups and day one starters near the bottom of the round

Simmons medical was clear. No issues. I'm guessing KC are praying he falls to them. Although there were rumors that KC are actively trying to trade up.

I hope so.

Just not a fan of taking an OL who is coming off a serious injury and only 5 good games. The team thinks its smarter than everyone else (eg. Jaylon Smith), but getting too cute. We just drafted a LT last year.

No problem with that but where do u play him. Kick Tyler back to tackle could be an option with Guyton moving to the right side.
