While I would really love for the Cowboys to sign Leary, I don't think having 4 large contracts (assuming Martin signed to a multi-year deal) just on the O-line is a good thing.Good. Now sign Leary.
It would be great if no CBA but reality is you don't need that much at one positionWhile I would really love for the Cowboys to sign Leary, I don't think having 4 large contracts (assuming Martin signed to a multi-year deal) just on the O-line is a good thing.
I miss the pre-salary cap days..It would be great if no CBA but reality is you don't need that much at one position
So how much does he make in that fifth year deal?
It will probably be for 9m or so.......it is the average of the top 3-25 OL
Well played...that was awesome. He's a maniac, maniac on the field
And he's blocking til defenders finally yield
I won't complain about keeping Zeke for 10m+ in 2020The 5th year option is a much better deal for the team when the player was not a top 10 pick.
In 2016, the 5th year option for OLinemen:
Top 10 pick: 11.9M
Pick between 11 and 32: 8.8M
The 2016 Franchise Tag for OL was 13.71M.
Like the Franchise Tag, the 5th year option is inflated for Guards/Centers because OT salaries are included in the calculation.
