Cowboys Fans Are The Best?

I caught a few mins of BSPN radio today at 2 different times. One of those was listening to the Terd while I was loading and unloading some stuff and Colin was talking about Cowboy fans. I didnt hear all of his piece but he paid a compliment to Cowboy fans. I think he even said we are the best fans. As in loyal and having great love for the team.

He spoke about the Cowboys being loved and hated. He spoke about how polarizing they are and how much people hate them. And since the team is hated SO MUCH, the fans that love the team ramp up their love for their team even more in response to the hate. He spoke of the need for Cowboy fans to dig in and defend their team because of the constant hate. It was like the more the team is hated and people express their hate, the more Cowboy fans defend and love their team.

In other words, we EMBRACE THE HATE, and in doing it our love for the team grows even more.

Cant say that I have a real problem with what he was saying.

It goes beyond envy. I lived in the DC area for 30 years and those fans HATE us. Its a real hate too. Its absolute hate. And it exists because they are envious of us, and our very existence means they will never be on our level and will ALWAYS be second fiddle at best and it eats at them. They are obsessed with hating us. We are who they want to be, but they know they never will be, because we are who we are and we arent going away. Other fans hate us for the same reason.
