At the end of the game there was another debacle, though not of Rattay's making. In his own stadium, operating out of the shotgun, Rattay could not hear. His team was called for a false start. The huge number of Cowboys fans in attendance were making a deafening roar to help the defense.

``I'd like the 49er fans to keep their tickets,'' Nolan said. ``That would be nice.''

Where did all these Cowboy fans come from?

I lived in San Jose for awhile a few years ago. Didn't meet a single Cowboy fan. It was either 49ers or Raiders ... made me sick to my stomach.

I went to see a Cowboy Niner game at 3com in the late 90s and the Niner fans were amazingly nice to me,,,, the Raiders attract a different kind of element though, if the Cowboys were to win that game I sure wouldn't want to be wearing my Cowboy gear unless I had lots of backup~!

I grew up out there and just moved two years ago. You'd be amazed how many Boys fans there are in the Bay Area. It was awesome to see all the blue and white jerseys in the crowd. Now let's ee if they have the guts to go to the "Black Hole" and represent.

Cowboys fans make more noise in visiting stadiums than at Texas stadium. It's shameful for Irving, TX. I'm very thankful there are fans outside of TX who know how to root on a team.

They will. I remember a game some years ago where they showed the stadium and there were alot of Cowboys fans at a Raiders game.

You know now that I think about it though it may have been when the Raiders were in LA. I know it's on one of the Cowboys highlight films and Jerry makes some comment about all "the blue jerseys" in the stands.

Yhea, you could actually hear the Crowd cheering Defense, Defense, Defense.

It was either the last or second to last drive drive for the 49ers.

I thought that was really cool.

Just wanted to let you guys know who were there how fun it was... we really did make a noticeable difference. We threw off Rattay at the end causing the offensive line to get a false start. You could hear chants of DEFENSE, big cheers with big plays, and a lot more. That was a VERY VERY FUN away game.

Next stop - OAKLAND.

I do think the crowd needs to be louder at Texas stadium, but I think there is something to the acoustics of Texas Stadium and how it sounds on TV.

The only reason I say this is the one Cowboy game I have been to was when Emmitt broke the All-Time rushing record. It was pretty dang loud in there.

But,

When I got home and watched my recording of the game it just did not sound that loud.

Not sure though?

That was LA in the 1992 season.

I know this much, I would even wear my Cowboys' jersey in Philadelphia, but would have to give some serious thought before I would in Oakland, those guys make EagleFan look like girls.

Yeah, acoustics, that's it. It's funny that Denver, Greenbay and other open air stadium have no problem with acoustics. Maybe we should close the hole and our noise will travel like the Superdome or Georgia Dome. Yeah, that's it.

I was just throwing it out there. I have no idea if anyone else has ever noticed this. Maybe I am way off.

I have been to games at Mile High here in Denver and the crowd gets very loud, and sounds very loud on TV.

When Emmit broke the record it was just as loud as any game I have heard in the old Mile High.

It sure did not sound that loud on TV though. I just find that strange.

I was very happy to hear the chant of "Defense" at the stick. You west coast Cowboys fans have a chance to catch 4 games out there this year and you are making it count. Keep it up.
