I know there are some on this site, and of course there are a lot in the area, but does anyone know of any get togethers of fans in the area? I think it would be fun to watch some games with some fellow Cowboys fans. Unfortunately most of my friends aren't too into sports, and those that are have moved away and/or are Chiefs fans.

I'm not much for bars though as I'd much rather watch games (Cowboys and otherwise) with the comfort of home, especially now that I have my theater to watch in.

I hear you brother. I don't live near there but I'm sure there are some fans from this board that live in the area.

Watching games with someone who is as big a fan as you are is a really nice thing. It rarely happens for me. Almost everyone I know is a casual fan and knows next to nothing about football.

Nothing is worse than watching a game with somebody who says something completely idiotic and proves they don't know a damn thing about football.

In my neck of the woods that only happens when our beloved team isn't on TV.

Side note: I truly do not like Chef fans. I get they are the home town team but talk about unrealistic expectations. The last playoff game they won was in '93. Their stadium is old and nothing special IMO. A few years ago I finally decided to just ignore them when I go out.

Yeah, I went to a sports bar to watch them back in like '98 I think, before I had DirecTV, and the few Cowboys fans I did find were pretty clueless.

Not a big fan of Chiefs fans either. They think they are much better fans than they are and get excited about the smallest things.

I thought of going to meetup.com, but surprisingly there is no group on there, and I'm certainly not going to pay to start one. I'd hate to have to go out to a bar on game day to find other fans.

I live in the KC area and would like to watch a game with a fellow Cowboys fan. Unfortunately I work just about every Sunday. But I agree it's hard to be surrounded by Chef fans.
