The fact is - Dallas didn't address the wide receiver position this past offseason and is today ranked 3rd in passing offense. Oh yeah, Terry Glenn is still out there for anybody to pick up!

The fact is - Tony Sparano is no longer the Cowboys offensive line coach. He was too busy beating the snot out of the New England Cheaters with a Miami team about equal to Parcells first year here in Dallas (2003, the Quincy Carter 10-6 team. Not much talent there). The GREAT HUDSON HOUCK now has the keys to that Sherman Tank better known as the Cowboy offensive line.

The fact is - Nate Jones and Jacques Reeves are not going through that tunnel this Sunday in Texas Stadium for the Cowboys. Instead, that will be Adam Jones, Mike Jenkins, and Orlando Scandrick.

The fact is - Terrance Newman is slowly getting more playing time as his groin heals.

The fact is - A pair of Jones' (Adam & Felix) are now returning punts and kicks. Trust me, this is an upgrade! Imagine Dallas' offense with better field position more often than not.

The fact is - Dallas has been hailed the #1 ranked team in the NFL by nearly everybody despite the following:

- This team has yet to intercept a pass. What happens when the Cowboys start picking off passes?

- Dallas has been averaging nine penalties a game. Several of those penalties aided scores for the Browns and Eagles.

- Dallas has NOT looked all that sharp yet. What happens when this team starts clicking on all cylinders? I am still waiting for a monster game by this team.

- Dallas is ranked 19th in Passing Defense.

The Commanders better hope that Dallas doesn't have a solid game on Sunday.

The only team that beats Dallas is Dallas!

Why you would post this after beating the Cards at home is beyond me. No one is impressed by that if you were wondering. Go on the road and win convincingly in Green Bay, then we may take your post a little more seriously.

I think the Commanders and their fans are going to realize just how far they have to go to get to the level you seem to think they are at already.

The ONLY facet to this game that has me concerned is the nature of this rivalry.

How many times have we seen the weaker team win?

That has happened several times in each decade of the Cowboys existance. Some more famous than others.

I think the real issue is some people's ability to recognize an intelligent response when it is staring them in the face.

All you have to hang your hat on boils down to a week 17 win over a Dallas team that had already wrapped up home field advantage, started the game with 4 starters sitting (Owens and Gurode the biggest impact) and sitting the rest in the 3rd quarter.

Regardless, there were 2 dropped TDs by our receivers and a shanked FG by Folk that made a difference in the game. Romo's stats weren't as bad as it looked b/c of that.

Hostile...I have heard parts of the chicken story, but never the whole thing, so I looked it up. Pretty funny, especially the symbolism of the 1 black chicken. Oh, and I know the purpose of spreads, but the fact remains, I think it's high, and I do think the Skins will cover it as it stands now.

Anyway, we've got five days and counting till game time. It's true, we regard this game as important, but I'm not sure why some of you feel like we're treating it as our Super Bowl, yet it means less to you. I'm sure there are many Cowboys fans who get up for the game just as much. Hell, my own stepmother is a Cowboys fan, and she has said that if the Cowboys went 2-14, she would be okay with it as long as both victories were against the Skins, so I think it goes both ways.

I admit the recent years (and by that, I mean the last 10-12) have caused a little luster to fall off the rivalry, but it's been pretty competitive the last 3-4, with the teams splitting games pretty evenly. Like I said, you guys are loaded, favored, and at home. It's going to be a hell of a task for my Skins to pull this one off, and I'm not going to bet on it happening.

If we lose, I'll be back Sunday night to take abuse from all of you. As I said before, I say we cover, but I'd pick Dallas to win, something like 23-16, 24-17. If that comes to pass, hopefully we can give it back to you when you visit our house in November.

On the other hand, we just might have a little magic ready for you.

Every time the Commanders win a whole bunch of their fans come here acting like they just won the Super Bowl and this is our most crushing loss of the year. We have literally had people say they would rather sweep us than win the Super Bowl.
