The fans paid big bucks to be there and got screwed. All they threw were towels, about as dangerous as throwing tissue at him. I wish I could say, get rid of him and draft a top 10 QB but we'd still have the Jones family running it so it's hopeless.
Dak has to make an agreement to be traded, or he can ride this contract out.
No cut no trade.

Me and you both . . . i called this right after the Play Off Game . . . He was taking the heat then and after all the Subtractions The writing was on the wall . . . He was gonna flounder. . . Everyone knew Cooper was the cog that made the Engine run. . . And Wilson was competing out there He really blossomed.

Its mind boggling the amount of weapons Dak had

The one thing I'll give you credit for is your claim that management is setting him up to fail. . . I still find it hard to believe that they would be so Machiavellian and Crafty . . . But appears to be true

There is no way that they felt Dak could compete with that WR corps . . . They refused to provide him with any Weapons . . . Should have at least kept Wilson . . . (mind boggling)

But I would like to add All these Millions Stephen is sitting on . . . It can All be rolled over . . . about 20 million or so. . . Does this move by management to hoard all that money tie into that

I hear its only about 13 million dollars Extra Cap hit if we drop him after the season or after June 1st or whatever . . .

The decision to save 20 million by not providing Dak with weapons could be signs of the Jones trying to het up out of this Contract Early . . Provided with a High 1st Rd pick used on a QB could allow this team to still stay competitive during Micha's tenure here

Because that's all it is coming down to Now . . . Build the team around Diggs and Micah
Yep, very valid points you have made esp about the 20 million there saving and why??
They're mad and it shows.
0 pampering with the roster this year for Dak.
Every chance they get they stick it to Dak publicly building up the pressure in his head and expecting him to fall on his face as he has major issues with it.
I can't blame them as Dak raked them over the coals with that contract.
Now Stephen is saying Dak is a top 2 or 3 QB and talking about how he should be Superbowl bound hence another pressure build-up for Dak's head.
Honestly, even though they have a very limited football intellect all indications show that Dak can forget about any chance to be here after his contract is expired.
I highly doubt Dak finishes as QB1 prior to his departure from big D.
Home games for Dak will be hell for him as the fans (esp due to that massive contract) have reached their boiling point with him and the boos and garbage will continue!!
Shame really as these past 6 years we wasted a lot of talent esp on the offensive side of the ball!!!

Admittedly I watched the 5 second clip a couple times and really couldn’t see much.

But regardless, throwing trash at people is a low quality move.
Imagine being a grown man and throwing trash at another grown man because you’re upset about the outcome of a sporting event - a game - that you yourself didn’t even actually play in. Kinda pathetic honestly.

Tried to tell y'all the Dak sux wave is gaining steam. He's not that guy. Good role model. I think. Not a good QB. Tank It. Need a new signal caller.

Think about it. This is his 7th year in the league and is on massive wages. Unfortunately, for Cowboys fans (and I am one) Dak has reached his window. This is it. He is not suddenly going to become this pinpoint, accurate passer that can throw darts in tight spaces, and to be honest, he still struggles reading coverages.

Yeah, throwing anything onto the field should land you in the hoosegow

Agree. I witnessed the s show that was the 80s with this club but would never throw anything on the field. The thought would never even enter my mind. If those that threw objects are STH's I would ban them permanently.

Man Pappy,
As much as I want to see this as exactly the way you have described its just hard for me to fully get my head around them backing off in their investment. I think Jake said it earlier.

I think they may go the opposite route and are softening up the fan base to take their support at exactly face value and to prepare them for a Dak extension and possibly even an early one next year.

I truly hope you are right and I am wrong.

We are so in need of change at QB.

Jerry seems like a Saint on Earth when it comes to paying his players. I personally respect it. But it is incredibly strange that Dak's contract, even though the highest paid contract on the team at the most important position, dragged on for 2 years. Its strange because Jerry pays up usually. Why would the most important position on the team drag out for 2 years?

I get it...you are all going to say Jerry is a fool and he thought he could negotiate his way to a favorable deal when QB prices kept skyrocketing.

Someone in that building was reluctant to pay Dak. I suspect it was Stephen.

Once Dak bent them over the barrel with his leverage he was thrown to the wolves to prove his worth. I also suspect that Moore's weird choice of abandoning the run was direct orders from the Jones' to put Dak in a position to prove himself. It was a scheduled loss vs Tampa...maybe the whole season is.

I think Dallas knows they need a more skilled QB now. And I am a Dak supporter.

Keeping Dak is a losing proposition for them now and yes that includes financially.
Those boos you heard will result in losses at the cash register hence my logic.
Another 4-6 years of Dak will literally burn this team to the ground.
The future is closer than think as everything will start to unravel starting with the upcoming draft.

Explain yourself.
Seems pretty self evident. Dak was smart to get that contract.

Towels, I believe is what was thrown, at least in one case.

If what I've read is to be believed, The team wanted a long term contract, but Dak wanted a shorter deal, so he could bet on himself and get a bigger contract next time around. That may blow up in his face.

Same people who throw trash out of cars, leave their shopping carts in the parking lot, quit after game 1 and Dak Hate...

Now you have what you want! What is the Cowboys record without Dak starting since 2016.

Dak Haters love misery
They'll certainly get it this season lol.
