We all know of the Cowboys recent struggles but a quick glance at the upcoming schedule indicates that we should finish strong—-at least in terms of W/L record. We should beat the brakes off of the Eagles, Giants and WFT. Only the Cardinals should pose a reasonable risk of loss.

On paper we should finish no worse than 3 and 1. Which would leave us with a 12 and 5 record.

It is conceivable that we could run the table, of course, but the Cardinals are a playoff caliber team, and won’t take it lying down. Anything less than 3 and 1 record the rest of the way out would be a disappointment from my point of view.

12 and 5 should be easily within reach. If we run the table, I expect us to do better than the 4 seed. Teams will unexpectedly falter along the way (and that may include the Cowboys).

11-6, win next 2, lose to Cards and sit everyone vs Eagles!

That's quite possible. But we don't know how the other top teams are going to do the rest of the way. Seeding might come into play against the Eagles.

I don’t agree with sitting everyone and mailing in the game against the Eagles. The last time we mailed in a season finale in Philly it led to a one and done in the playoffs. Sitting players leads to a poor performance that can carry over into the playoffs. In 2014 despite having our division wrapped up we hammered Washington in the season finale with our starters and it at least led to a playoff win. We need to use these last four games to get Dak and our offense back on track. We’re currently not playing well enough to advance in the playoffs. Poor season finale games have led to several one and outs for the Cowboys in the playoffs.

Jerry will have so much happy dripping down his thigh just from making the playoffs, he’ll have the starters pulled by halftime regardless of seeding!

13-4, Cowboys win out and get the 3 seed.
As long as there are other 13-4 teams we get the higher seeding due to conference record. If the Packers win out we’ll be the 2 seed at 13-4 as AZ and Tampa will be 13-4 as well.

Hopefully the Pack lose once and we have the better conference record which should get us the 1 seed.

You do realize I don’t actually get a day in the decision? I’m just giving a prediction based on the question in the original post!

When we were 6-1 I said I’d take 12-5. And that’s looking about right now.

I predicted 12-5 back before training camp. Looks like 12-5 is very possible. Would love if our Cowboys won out, ended with a 13-4 record and secured a higher seed than #4 though.

You gave your opinion and I disagreed with it. None of us make decisions we simply give our opinion.
