Cowboys first 2026 unoffical depth chart

I say when week 1 comes around Bullard is starting over Ogbonnia. Doesn’t matter for much other than who gets to tell us which school they attended when the tv channel announces starters of course, because both will rotate in, but I still think it’s Bullard and that he is a better fit for that spot. Ogbonnia may get more snaps though because I think he plays at both DE and NT in our base D
If we start off in the 3-4 look, I think Ogbonnia is the leader for the third line spot. When we signed him, we traded Odighizuwa even though Parker talked about having a 3-4 base. That indicates to me that we felt Ogbonnia was the third lineman. Bullard was added later, but I believe it was for depth.

Depending on what alignment we give for the starting lineup, neither player may be given as a starter ... if we are in the 4-2-5 to open.

Gotta feel that Dak, knows where the duress is going to come from.

Try not to get emotional.

Based on this and not using starters in this weekend's preseason games (and probably not some keep rotational players), our starting lineups should look like:

Offense
QB Joe Milton
RB Jaydon Blue/Phil Mafah
TE Luke Schoonmaker (Michael Trigg in two-tight end sets)
LT Nate Thomas
LG Nick Leverett
C T.J. Bass
RG Trevor Keegan
RT Drew Shelton
WRs Jonathan Mingo and Marquez Valdez Scantling (third receiver Anthony Smith)

Defense
DE/DT Jonathan Bullard (LT Overton in 3-4 sets)
NT Jay Toia
OLB/DEs Sam Williams/Malachi Lawrence and James Houston (maybe Isaiah Land since we know what Houston can do)
ILBs Shemar James and Justin Barron (with Jaishawn Barham probably out)
CBs Shavon Revel and Caelon Carson (Derrion Kendrick in nickel)
Ss PJ Locke and Markquese Bell (maybe Zion Childress since Locke and Bell are listed at the same position)
