So Dallas trades a 1st rd pick to the Raiders and then a few seasons later, get rid of him for a 5th

Then Dallas trades a 4th to SF for Trey Lance and never uses him

Then the Cowboys trade another 4th to Carolina for WR Mingo and rarely uses him

We learn now the Commanders give away a 5th to SF for Deebo Sanuel

And finally, drag their feet to overpay for players

Dallas doesn't use FA, the past 2 drafts have been poor @ best and continually look stupid with their trades

There was a specific reason Cooper was traded. That move was about getting him off the roster no matter the compensation.

Lance - who the heck knows.

Mingo trade was all about 2025 with Cook likely not returning.

SF traded Deebo for anything they could get because they were going to release him. He has a high salary and only went 51-670-3 last year. Let's not pretend the Commanders are getting the 2021 version of Samuel because they aren't.

The Cowboys have already announced they will be active in FA this year. The last two drafts are better than the players have produced, they need to get healthy and get better coaching.

It’s called the Jones boys effect. When you have two idiots who have zero accountability and are not “football guy” then these are the results.

If the Cowboys made that trade people would be losing their minds. Trading a pick for an aging, injured, washed WR who is on the last year of a contract, making over $20m. People here only praise this because it's a move the Cowboys didn't make which automatically makes it genius and another reason to hate on the Cowboys while ignoring the actual facts of the situation.

yeah these guys are panicking over s move for a aged veteran on the downside of his career who can’t stay healthy.

None of those FA moves are really horrible. Yes, they probably could have got a 4th for Cooper, Gave up a 5th for Mingo instead, but nothing crazy and outrageous.

I see the main issue is not letting a player walk or trade them when it is time and signing them based on name. This creates a cap shortage when good pieces that will fit the team come available. If the Cowboys had 40 million in cap right now without restructuring contracts then they could go crazy and sign some missing ingredients to the team.

Free Agency success for the best teams is about bringing in impact players who can start and excel, not filling holes.
The draft should be about filling holes and building to the next few years, not the upcoming year. (Excluding a few key positions)

You and the others are laughing about us not being active

They are taking chances looking to get over the hump and to the SB
the history of the NFL is replete with a new location causing a player to rebound
They have $82 MILLION IN CAP SPACE
so this is really nothing and could pay off big
only total fools just keep lapping up the Jethro juice

You’re as dumb as Jerry if you think Mingo was about 25. Mingo was the direct result of Jerry throwing a temper tantrum and telling his guys to get anyone they could before the deadline. He was listening to the fans say
“sale-sale-sale” at the trade deadline and once again wanted to show the fans who was in charge.

Worst FO in football.

Sometimes I feel as if Jerry lets others get him close to being a contender, and then takes over and starts drafting Schooner and Williams and Mazi and Kelvin.

The Mingo trade was just dumb period.

Only thing worse than lapping up Jethro juice is….lapping up Commanders juice. You need a bib.

The Mingo trade was full on Jerry saw the talking heads making fun of him for doing nothing before the trade deadline, and after an entire offseason/season of being made fun of, told everyone to just make a trade for SOMETHING to shut them up.
