I keep seeing people talk about cutting Murrray or cutting Sanborn. They don't have to cut them. They are free agents. So they would have to resign them.

Cowboys Free Agents

ERFA - Thomas, Butler, Steward
RFA - Hoffman, Bass, Aubrey
UFA - Murray, Fowler, Jones, Clowney, S. Williams, Turner, Pickens, J. Williams, Sanborn, Sanders, Tolbert, Goodwin, Ballantine, Wilson, Adeniji

I would assume we will resign all the ERFA....they basically don't even hit the cap or if they do it is a minimal amount. The RFA should all get tendered with offers. The only unrestricted guys I want to see back are in bold.

That means, from our 53 this year, we would need 12 new players. In the draft we likely will get 4 or 5 that we keep. We probably sign two decent free agents and the rest will be low tier guys.

it's just fan emotional syndrome talk for players that play poorly, we all just want them gone by any means necessary!!

I approve of this message.
Good work !

Yes, the ERFA will take what is offered or move on down the road.
I did see where J. Thomas is a RFA and not a ERFA in another article.
The RFA they should make a tender to all of them. and if a team wants them bad enough, we can get some compensation.

Out of the UFA's.
Keep Pickens, J. Williams, Clowney for sure, these are a must.
Maybe let S. Williams test the martket, and match he offer, but I would not mind seeing him staying on a 2 year cheaper deal. Maybe like the did Armstrong a few years ago. I still think he can be pretty good.
Same for Fowler, I think he can still add something, as he was not use correctly last year. But a team friendly deal.

They may give Turner another chance, since he was on IR all last year. Same for R. Jones on the OL, and Adenjiji as he was injure off and on.

They will as usual keep half of these even though last year it was a little less.

So blow up the team and start over?

After the year the offense had. No you bring back Pickens and Williams on offense.
Keep Clowney on defense. And a few other as role type players, as all teams have and need the type of players.

I agree with all three. However, not confident that the Jones' agree with us.

yeah listen to Mary, do we actually resign these guys or does Jerry play his little games

Not re-signing Sanborn and Murray is a non-starter for me.

And Logan Wilson's cap hit of 6.5 Million next season is money well spent.

The PFF of these 3 LBs speaks to the strength of our defense

Clowney played well, though he may be seeking one more nice pay day. The Cowboys got him for a bargain last year and anticipate he'll test the market. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fowler and or Williams back if Clowney isn't.

Williams hasn't developed into the player I thought he could potentially be at this point and really has committed some untimely penalties. Fowler isn't great against the run, but has been solid in generating pressure.

keep all the RFAs. bye bye to the ERFAs.
resign Clowney, Pickens and if williams doesn't want too much.

You listen to the media and some fans too much.
Have you not figured it all out yet.
yeah because all of this stuff has happened, some of the stuff we're being sarcastic about, but some of this stuff actually happens. Not sure how you missed it

I honestly was surprised to see Fowler rated as highly on PFF and some of the other sites. I thought he was MIA most of the year. Sam still makes so many dumb plays, how often did we see him crashing down inside and giving up the edge? He did make a few special teams plays but we drafted him to be a consistent pass rusher and he just hasn't been.

Clowney brings the pass rush but he also played well against the run and I was surprised to see his hustle with as many years as he has played. I'll admit I didn't think much of the signing at the time but it turned out to be a good move.
